First lets get something clear i have nothing against jews, i have many jew friends and have been to a couple of fundraisers at a synagogue so don't call me a hater. :wakeup

Imagine this world:

What if the U.S weren't part of the U.N today.

The U.N decides that Native Americans need a place to live also, so they

decide to partition the U.S.

The U.S is divided in half with a total disregard to the property of the ppl in

unfortunate half. Like any other avg american (exception: whottt) you are

enraged and are determined to take your land back. However you can't,

because China and India, the world's 2 largest superpowers feel that its the

right thing to do, so you lose the war in trying to get your land back and in

doing so you are left with nothing except new hampshire. You live there for

decades and watch as not even native americans, but mexicans and Cubans

are given free plane tickets to come here. Over time as you watch people

from all over the world take over your pushed into a smaller and smaller

corner. How would you be feeling at that point? Would you feel happy at the

thought of there being a tank in your backyard? That you can't ownproperty?

Sometimes its hard to put yourself in a certain position. I don't feel that

Israel should be wiped off, b.c you would be doing the same to them that

had been done to you. However I do believe that it should be cut in half, with

Jerusalem being shared. I know its not the perfect world, and there are

people who strap bombs onto themselves, goto a market and kill civilians.

But if a state isn't created in our lifetime, there will be no more Palestinian

people.

Probably just move.

But I can't imagine being tied to holy land.

Both sides have a lot of problems. Both sides have been in the wrong many times. Unfortunately for Palestinians, they are fighting against a very substantial military. That's why they incur such high casualties. However, Palestinians aren't totally innocent themselves. The majority just want homes and to be able to live in peace. The minority think it's best to wage war on a superior military. That military doesn't distinguish between the majority and minority.

I really don't see a resolution coming in our life times.

I hope for a 2 state solution with a shared Ierushalaim. Plus a full recognitions and full relashionships with all the Arab nations ( and I mean Arab, not Islamic)

But I can't agree with a return law as the Palestinians ask.

i completely agree with the above part, but what does "return law mean?"

If I'm not mistaken it was something proposed where Palestinians could return to land they claimed from before the 1967 War. Thus it would force the jews who live there out of their current homes. It has been a sticking point in negotiations. I may have oversimplified.

Why should Israels given back any more land. As soon as they got out of Gaza the terrorist group Hamas took over and started to lob missiles into every city they could reach in Israel. If they give back all the land will that be enough? No way!! Iran who is supporting all the terrorist groups said they will destroy Israel. Wipe them off the map--another Holocaust.

I don't see an end to that conflict, period. Unless there's a massive cleansing of Iran, Syria and portions of Pakistan. Even then, countries like Egypt have radicals.

There's a reason they've been fighting for decades with no end in sight.
I think at this point it's beyond who's right or wrong.
It's just going to keep on going, and I don't think there's much that can be done about it.

I agree but why should Israel make anymore concessions to the terrorists.

b.c 6 decades ago they flooded in from all over europe and kicked the palest. out.

Its not about the terrorists, its about a people that once lived there living in deplorable conditions.

Listen to the blitzer/finkelstein debate, both jews. Listen to blitzer's ignorance blaming the palest. for the holocaust and getting owned by a Rabbi and Finkelstein.

I don't think either side wants/will make any concessions. They might do some posturing, even agree to some temporary arrangement, but you know violence will certainly be back, and it will undo anything that was done.
The two sides don't like eachother in the least, and I don't think one side can eliminate the other safely, thus the neverending struggle.
