You'd think the experts, media, and fans would learn.

They are not a mentally tough team, their manager is overrated, and the Cubs are not doing anything.

Sorry, its not happening.

1945, 1967, 1984, 2003, 2008.

And a TON of crappy baseball in-between.

No wonder Cubs fans are weird.

Every time that team fails for the rest of my life I'll think about those fuckheads who spit on that kid for reaching at that ball and know that they are miserable and smile.

What's worse having to wake up knowing you live in Chicago, or having to wake knowing you live in Chicago?

Chicago is a great city- I lived 3 blocks from Wrigley and still say it is the best city in the USA. To be honest, I would hate living in LA a hell of alot more than Chicago- I still wish I lived there some days

And you think this thread bothers Cubs fans at all, compared to what I had to watch last night?

The Cubs aren't the first team to have a really great regular season, and fall on their face in the first round. Won't be the last, either.

Which fan caused the Cubs to give up a bunch of runs in one inning this time? Did someone yell right before a pitch? Were there flashbulbs going off in Lee's face? Whose name are the radio stations making public today?

Never said they were.

Its just hilarious how you guys get your hopes up every year instead of just be cautious and saying "we will see" You guys always leap off the ledge with FINALLY THIS IS THE YEAR!!!

:lol

You guys just set yourselves up for dissapointment.

How? About the only bad thing in LA is the insane rent/housing cost.

Thats the only beefs I have.

If it didn't cost so much, I'd have me a place in Costa Mesa, or Irvine, or anywhere in the area.

Love the Orange County area. Long Beach, Newport Beach,

I'll make one comment on this disgusting mess, and that's it. If you all want to pile on, that's fine. Apparently, some people enjoy the misfortune of others.

The 2008 Cubs choked harder than any team has since Piniella's 2001 116 win Mariners' team. It was truly a meltdown (especially Game 2).

There you have it.

I particularly enjoy the misfortune of people that blame Bartman (I finally remembered his name) for the Cubs losing that game. As a Reds fan, I love Piniella, but the more humiliating the loss for the Cubs, the happier I am. If you aren't one of those folks, I'm sorry you had to be collateral damage.
