------------------------------

To pass the time until the start of preseason, let's see how SpursTalk.com ranks the Top 50 Spurs. Those eligible for the list include all players, coaches and owners. I don't want to define "top" too narrowly, but I think the best way to do it would be to think of the list as a list of the 50 most influential people who have helped make the Spurs one of the most successful franchises in the history of sport.

For more information on what we are doing, check out this thread (http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103061).

In this thread, we will vote for spot number 49. Please place your vote. If you will, also explain in this thread why you voted how you did.

Thanks.

P.S.

Poll options listed in alphabetical order. If you want to vote for someone not on the list, post in the thread and I'll add the person.

Voting will end 2AM CST Sunday morning.

Please vote only once.

I'm leaning toward Dave Corzine . . .

I would agree. Corzine was a warrior.

George Johnson or Dave Corzine would be good picks. I'll go with Corzine as well, to help solidify the anti-Rasho/Oberto Old School Stronghold vote.

FIFY. Seriously, Cleveland wasn't beating us...ever. Chip's work with Tony just made it easy.

Detroit was a MUCH better opponent in 2005 and we managed to beat them, and seeing how they beat your asses in five games one year earlier, you might agree.

Bob Hill.

And dammit people quit voting for someone just because timvp says he is.

How does Finely make #37 when he was the spurs rival for his whole career?

And dammit people quit voting for someone just because timvp says he is.:lol People keeps saying that but of the last dozen selections, only Jaren Jackson and Rich Jones were the picks I selected.

And Corzine actually picked up steam during the last vote . . .

No, you also picked Rodman at 47 Dietrick 48 and Egan 39

I only looked at the last 10 or so but no doubt when you stated who you liked that influenced the poll.

I only looked at the last 10 or so but no doubt when you stated who you liked that influenced the poll.Go read the actual threads. I didn't vote for Rodman. I said I didn't agree with Rodman going at 47 but it was understandable and that he was more deserving than Rasho or Oberto or whoever it was who was second in the running.

I also hopped on the Dietrick bandwagon for the same reason (keeping Rasho/Oberto from winning) and didn't even vote in the runoff. I didn't say I was voting for Egan until that thread was almost over and he was way up in the poll.
