Thats probably McCain biggest problem. He has a history, specially the last 8 years or so, that doesn't reflect well on him at all. I don't think he's wrong necessarily about Obama being a relative unknown, the problem is that people know McCain is terrible. At least with Obama there's hope it can't be as bad as McSame.
