When Manu's back:

Manu 6'6
Bowen 6'7
Bonner 6'10
Duncan 7'1
Oberto 6'10

Duncan228 is never wrong when it comes to duncan1. And what percentage of SF's do you think Bonner could stay with?

compared to the Lakers that's a small lineup.

Height and length is going to be a (minor) problem for our backcourt this year - we have a lot of undersized wings, and no athletic 6'8"-9" guys to match up with other teams' long athletes.

BTW, even though he's listed at 6'7", Bruce is about 6'5" 1/2 - I've talked with him face-to-face, and I'm 6'7", so I know!

Was he not listed at 7 feet until 2005, at least on the NBA webpage?

I'm not sure when NBA.com updated, but I think the Spurs media guides changed for the '03-'04 season.

The story goes that the Spurs wanted to play up the "Twin Towers" angle with Duncan and Robinson, and listed Duncan as 7 feet. After Robinson retired Duncan asked them to list him at his "real" height of 6'11".

Bowen and Manu are too short. I agree, move Bonner to the point and start Mahinmi and Thomas instead on Manu and Bruce. This way if your going to lose big then lose big.

Duncan is 6'11". Garnett is listed as the same and HE'S 6'11"?!? He seems to TOWER Duncan side by side.

Agreed though, that Garnett does indeed look bigger than Duncan.

Like I said, Duncan is 6'11 at best. Garnett's not the only one that looks taller than him. There were stories that Duncan is closer to 6'10 than 6'11.

Whatever height he really is, Duncan plays big. And his arms go on forever, he's got an incredible reach.

This post is ironic since the Spurs are anything but big right now. Look at Portland-- they are bigger at EVERY posotion than the Spurs. And they are not the only NBA team that will have a size advantage.
