I would like to get the opinion of the people participating in the pick em NFL league. Please only the people in the league respond to this. If you miss a week of picks, should you:

I think it best to have your champion come from the one that has the most wins at the end of the year. If you do not get any wins or losses if you miss a week, then the leader can coast in the last two-three weeks if he has a big lead % wise and not even enter the contest the last 2-3 wks. But if you do not enter, then others will get the wins, and the one that does not enter gets no wins.

I picked tie with worst record that week.
Here is why.
If you give the person all losses?

Not only is that harsh? But the person may not want
to play anymore,
and lets face it. no one can pick every team that will lose.
I try'd it last time.
I did an experiment.
I picked all the teams that should have loss.

And I went 7-7 I think.

Not everyone is ready to make there picks just yet.
Some folks can't get on line at any moment they would like.

And some folks do like I do. Press enter and go to another site
not knowing they were looged into FSP web site
and that the site did not record there pics.
for some reason I have to log on each time I come here
and I don't delete my cookies.
But I do change my hard drives a lot.

Anyway the bottom line is?
If your good like I am ?

You don't need to have a certain pic changed or you
don't need to worry about missing one week.
Until we only have 5 games left?
You should be ok.
But for those who are tied with someone?
or in a spot where one or two games makes all the difference?

Then I can see why they have concern and for them?
never mind I just said carry one my brother...

kinda like you do on most of my post :smokin2

I pick tied for the worst record.

All losses is too harsh. But to give them no wins and no losses is not enough of a penalty for missing the picks.

I don't think its too harsh. The object of this contest is to make picks every week.

What Fun Would That Be?

To beat someone who has Both hands Tied
Behind there Backs?

and if your That sad That you Can't beat someone
who goes 7-7 each week?

Then your better off having a Monkey pick
your teams.
I say No Picks? you get 7-7.
and If anyone joins late also,

Just give Them An *
like the spurs once had :fro

I picked all losses, cuz that's what I got week 1 and I can live with it. Pick your head up and move on...11 weeks left in the season....I find it convenient that there is trouble posting picks but no trouble posting to compain about not being able to post picks. Do ya follow.

Anyway, whatever works. But if it's tie for worst record, boost me 5 wins as the 2nd worst in week1 was 7-9, which is 5 better than 2-14. Thanks. That is all.

I think coz is doing us a favor keeping all the scoring and we should make it easy on him.

You don't pick. You lose. Can't live with that? Bye.
It's really pretty simple. Why don't we keep it simple.
It IS JUST A GAME....with no prize for crying out loud....jeez.

If one is that concerned with winning and getting the bragging rights then they should at least find the time, find a way to post their picks on a consistant basis. That's it.

But like I said, whatever works.

I don't think its too harsh. The object of this contest is to make picks every week.

I guess I'm just a believer in that sometimes our lives get "full" be it good things, bad things, or just too much. And when our lives are too full, we might forget something as trivial as making our football picks.

That's why I say, just give that person the worst record as their "punishment" of having a full life.

I believe giving someone zero wins is way too harsh.

I understand totally about having a full life! Especially right now!! :) T minus 11 days!

Coz, it would be easier on you just to add up the wins each week. That way you do not have to worry about if someone missed, because they would not have wins for that week. At end of year, whoever has most wins, wins...Yes?

Jim, that would be easier, and is the best damn solution I've heard. Unfortunately, I've started scoring this way, and I think I need to continue. Just wins would simplify things though.
