View Full Version : PS3 getting online with PC Card

Im on the road with my PS3 pretty much 90% of the year, and I'm wondering how or if I can sign on the pS3 network with my Sprint PC Card?

Im asking this as I was hoping to update the NBA Live 09 DNA thing by doing this.

Best bet is running it threw your laptop first

Sprint card > Laptop > Ps3

This could be done with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). There are numerous articles around the web telling how to turn this on in your laptop. This will then let your computer act as a gateway for the PS3's net access. Then just connect the PS3 via ethernet to your laptop (if you don't have a normal wifi card in there) and go through the network connection set up in Network Settings on the PS3.

No because I prefer NBA Live thats why.

T Park I dunno if you know this but while it's true that NBA live has what they call "Dynamic DNA" it's not free. You pay $60 for the game and on the PS store they have it for sale(now) at the price of $19.99 plus tax which is most likely just a "key" to just unlock whats on the disc already, what do you expect from EA.

So if you get it you end up paying 80 plus Tax for NBA live. Just a heads up.

Which is stupid because they been hyping the dynamic DNA and never mention that it was a add on and not in the retail game.One more reason I'm glad I get NBA2k every year.

well does NBA2k do the roster update thing as well?

I just prefer the graphics, and gameplay of LIve compared to 2K, thats all.


So I have to connect an ethernet cable from the PS3 to my computer? Is that right?

I'm really really new at this kinda thing and not really good at it./
