"I'm just asking, because according to the math I remember, when I went to school, this is what I think it should be ????
Anyway, here's this week's picks :"

Of course your math would be correct: 34 minus 14 = 20. The 14 losses were added on when you failed to make any picks. If I remember correctly, more people favored the current scoring method.

What gets me about this is that you have had this happened to you before, and it was handled completely different. You posted the picks that you made a few days late and all was well. My thinking on this was that if you really had to cheat to win a contest that you get nothing for winning, you would be a sad individual.

I've got to tell the truth here LonghornE, most of the reason why I score people who don't pick as 0-16 is because it is too much work the other way. I obviously make enough mistakes as it is. I will tell you this, if you want to take over scoring, and score the best way you see fit - please do so. I agree with you to a point that a winning percentage for games picked would be cool to have. Of course that could mean only picking the "locks" for the week.

So IMO, coming into the week that you missed, you knew and understood how we all were playing. TO me, that means your case is not as strong. One person who I DO feel was a bit jobbed, is BigZak, who only picked 2 games for week one. Well, he went 2-14 that week.

I appreciate the sentiment coz.

This is a fun game guys. Lets have fun. You're doing a good job coz. If you don't want to have an automatic loss, be damn sure to make your picks. That's it. The season is not even a 1/3 over yet. Long way to go.

That's fine with me, but from what I can remember one of those weeks in question, I DID submit the picks in time, it was something that happened with the system, so if I'm goin to be held responsible for that, well then I, simply won't submit any more picks .

That is exactly my point LonghornE - the week where the system screwed you, I asked just asked you for your record that following tuesday. This time, there was nothing there. I did ask you if you made any picks, and you didn't respond. My assumption was therefore that you didn't make any picks. I'll tell you the easiest way to solve this, I'll post a poll where only the sixteen in this league should vote.

We'll go with the following question:

What should be the penalty for missed picks in a week.

- all losses

- no picks at all (winning percentage)

- tied with worst record for that week

- even record (7-7) or (8-8)

How does that sound?
