Rookie guard O.J. Mayo scored 26 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 103-95 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.

OJ Mayo has a legit shot at Rookie of the Year.

Also of note, Marc Gasol 14 points, 10 rebounds in 35 minutes.

I'm telling you guys, the Grizz are gonna be a good team this year and Marc Gasol might be this year's Scola.

Sure, still it's pre-season but it's not too bad just to watch for talent and desire.

OJ looks to have the talent and more importantly, the desire to be "the man". Alot of guys just want to be another player on the team (Rose, Beasley).

You're crazy if you think Gasol will be as good as Scola. All Marc has is rebounding; he doesn't have the soft touch around the rim like Scola, or that Argentinian quality of sneakiness.

Mayo will win ROY, Derrick Rose just is not that talented and Beasley's surrounded by stars.

I think Marc has a great shooting touch inside or out. He's even a very good 3 point shooter even though he's 7'1...270/280 pounds. As an NBA starter, he's probably a 12-15 pts, 10 rebound guy this year.
