I think "reality" TV has caused many to see the debates as boring because they are used to "surprises" or want to "shocked" by something. This is supposed to be a discussion about the issues that face our Country and not about an "exciting" exchange between the candidates. More often than not the topics they address ARE boring during a normal conversation but during a debate the answers, although they dance around the questions, do give you some light into the candidate.
That is why I watch them.

A little of both. I've always said Obama is the underdog regardless of what the polls say and the mountain he must climb, and he's almost at the top, is still one massive mountain to conquer.
