I haven't voted for a democrat in many years. However, I'm voting for Earl Blumenauer for congress. This has been a very difficult thing for me to decide. I don't like the democrats having a majority in congress, but I like him over the republican and 3rd party candidates available.
I disagree with may things that Blumenauer has voted for. But in the end, he is an honorable man, and not a liberal whacko. One thing that he gained my respect for was voting NO on the corporate bailout. H has good ideas on the economy, natural resources, etc. without going extreme.
I wish there was a better republican to vote for. Problem is, even the republicans in Oregon are liberals.
