2004-05 Stats at a Glance
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- After a poor road trip, the Los Angeles Lakers hope to avoid a sixth loss in seven games when they host a likely undermanned Utah Jazz squad on Tuesday.

The Lakers, who have lost eight of their last 11 contests, went 1-4 on their road trip, which ended with a 103-89 setback at Cleveland on Sunday.

Kobe Bryant returned from a month-long absence due to a severely sprained right ankle and collected 26 points and six assists, but it wasn't enough in the losing effort. Lamar Odom added 19 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers, who had gone 6-8 without Bryant.

The Jazz scored their most points this season at Phoenix on Monday but came up short, 136-128.

Raja Bell scored 22 points and reserve Howard Eisley posted season highs of 20 and 11 assists for Utah, which lost Andrei Kirilenko (sprained right ankle) and Carlos Boozer (sprained right fore foot) in the second quarter.

Both forwards are doubtful for this game.

The Jazz have won the first two meetings between the teams this season, 104-78 at home on November 3 and 102-94 here on January 17.

Utah has not won a season series from the Lakers since going 3-1 during the lockout-shortened 1998-99 campaign.
