So if college educated nobel prize winning voters want Obama, they are "elitists" and if high school educated voters want Obama, they are dumb? How convenient-- everyone who decides to vote for Obama happens to be flawed in your view. Is it possible that maybe some people on earth are well-informed and just happen to disagree with you?

The only substantial evidence that could accurately depict the "uneducated prefer Obama" claim is that Obama has a lot more supporters than McCain does, thus creating an uneven sample size between the two candidates.

However, Chump's picture is the truth, as in an battle of education, usually democratic supporters are typically the winning card.

Wait, let me try -

The conservative students are wise enough and have enough fortitude to get out after fours years of attempts to indoctrinate them with anti-American values. The only ones who continue attending these socialist boot camps after four years are the weak-willed pansies who eventually become liberals.

OK, I'll explain. I do think this is a stupid thread.

First off, isn't the question a generlized one rather than students? Once you get a broad mix of ages, experience, and education, those who are better paid blue collar workers and white collar workers tend to be moe conservative. People who have little education to secure a good job with, tend to look for government handout. The Elite... Just that.

Are you saying that the elite are "people who have little education to secure a good job with," or that the elite "tend to look for government handout"? I'm not sure what your last sentence means -- at all.

Again, though, if your point is that people who are out of college become more conservative on the whole, then why is there any need to complain about the liberality of college campuses? After all, you're saying that the natural course of things (it seems) tends to make conservatives out of even those who've been ruthlessly indoctrinated on campus -- well, all of those other than the elites. Right?

FromWayDowntown
10-20-2008, 10:11 PM
And only in the Blue/Red America could there actually be a faction of people who truly believe that attaining high levels of education (and in some cases, even high levels of knowledge) is something that should, by and large, not be emulated or even generally seen as a good thing.

It's amazing what politics will do to sanity.
