Who would you rather have on your team? Looking at the stats, Colt has past VY by and he isnt stopping. He is on pace to have a better Jr. year. VY did have 2 1000 yard rushing seasons but Colt's passing numbers are better. Colt has 70 passing TD's (28 ints) compared to VY's 44 (28 ints). On the ground VY has 37 TD's compared to Colt's 12. Colt 82 total TD's with 8800 total yards and Vy 81 Total td's with 9167 total yards.

Until Colt leads the Longhorns to a MNC, there is no comparison. Vince in a landslide.

If it wasnt for the def making a big stop in the Rose bowl, you wouldnt be saying that. VY didnt have to face the caliber of teams colt had to this year.

You're right. Ohio State sucked.

vince young WAS a freak of nature and is a god in austin...but he isn't half the quarterback Colt McCoy is...no one will ever be able to take a away vy's national title and UT may or may not win it this year, but you couldn't ask for more from Colt than what he's given this team...

who would i rather have on my team, no question, colt

It's funny how winning gets your knob slobbered. I remember last year when everyone was begging for Chiles when Colt sucked and now fans are wondering whether Colt is greater than Vince. It's fucking hilarious. While Vince may suck donkey balls as an NFL quarterback, he was a God on UT's campus and the hardware only magnified his awesomeness. For a year and a half, he played the college quarterback position and led his team better than anyone I've seen before or since. Once Colt shows me the BCS Championship trophy, I'll argue his and Vince's careers, but until that day he's a goofy guy from Tuscola whom I happen to love as a quarterback but is nowhere near Vince. Period. Although his girlfriend makes my penis happy.

I can't wait until Colt McCoy's in NFL Europe, so I can not watch him play.

McNeal plays for the Argos in the CFL. At least he did.

VY is the greatest ncaa quarterback in ncaa history.
Noone could stop him. He held back from running until his back was against the wall all fucking year the championship season, simply to catch USC off guard when he ran it every chance he got and pulled a Michigan v2.0 on them. He could have rushed for record shattering yards that junior season but he held back.
The only team he really ran without hesitation against that year was Oklahoma State, because we were losing and he had to pull a stunt.

both are/were good in college. thats it.

we've all seen what has happened to vince since he got into the nfl & colt is too smal to make it as a qb in the nfl.

colt is too smal to make it as a qb in the nfl.

:lmao

Colt is 6' 3" and the average height for quarterbacks in the NFL is 6'3". Height is the least of his worries.

Quick. Somebody tell Brett Favre 20 years ago that he's too small to make it in the NFL. Tony Romo, you're too small. Jake Delhomme, you're too small. Joe Montana, you're too fucking small.

this isnt 20 yrs ago & tony romo is not a good comparison. by you or colt. romo is over-rated. Delhomme is average at best.

I know this is hard for you. They are NFL quarterbacks. They are considered small by you.

colt is too smal to make it as a qb in the nfl.

Colt is 6'3" 210 pounds. Romo is only 15 pounds heavier and an inch short, and he has been in NFL weight training for 5 years. Tom Brady is only an inch taller and 15 pounds heavier, again, 8 years of NFL weight training.

Colt is plenty big to play in the NFL

It still amazes me that the skinny redshirt freshman from Tuscola that took over after VY left is now considered NFL material. One does wonder how much having Major there helped Colt develop the way he has. But Applewhite's only been there less than a year. Colt will be one of the most beloved players in UT history by the time he's done - I heard yesterday he's committed to come back his senior year. (Jevan Snead didn't look too bad last week, either. Maybe he's smarter than all of us?) Who would have thought we'd ever hear that two years ago?

That said, VY may be the best QB in NCAA history and we were lucky to have him for as long as we did. And I'd take him again in a heartbeat. Anyone that's been a Texas fan longer than three years should know that.
