Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency.

The message, posted Monday on the password-protected al-Hesbah Web site, said if al-Qaida wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the message said. "Then, al-Qaida will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush."

Is McCain the anti-christ?

well duh. If there's anything al-quaida wants more of it's war and conflict. Their lifeline depends on it. And John Mcain would be the man to bring it.

All Obama has to do is come out and say "I got a message for OBL. You won't be around to make an endorsement in 2012. John McCain and George W. Bush may not care that you're in Pakistan, but I do. I'm coming to get you."

I demand an investigation to determine extent of McCain's ties to this Al Qaeda website.

Has McCain been palling around with terrorists?

Is he from one of the anti-American parts of the country?

How much does he know, and when did he know it?

Good gawd, do you know the mileage they have gotten out of the pictures from Abu Gharaib?

They are drooling over the prospect of another bellicose, ignorant-of-the-world, ham-handed, unsophisticated numbnut Republican in the Oval office.

If we are unfortunate to have that happen, we can only hope that Liebermann is there the whole time to whisper in his ear what the difference between shia and sunni is...

Same thing with Chavez. Chavez is praying for a Mcain/Palin presidency. So he can continue calling US president the Devil and continue rallying the rest of South America.

Imagine if Obama wins, Chavez would be confused for a while

There are at least three governments that would fall if the US abandoned its stupidly harsh rhetoric/sanctions.

Venezuela
Cuba
Iran

All three of those governments are crappy, corrupt, and use inflammatory Anti-American rhetoric to convince their populations that that government is there to protect them against the big, bad Americans.

If our Cuba policy was run with actual national interests in mind, as opposed to being driven by the hysterical Cuban expatriot community, the "communists" in Cuba would be long gone.

Al-Q probably doesn't discern a whole lot of difference between Democrats and Republicans, but people who think Al-Q is scared of Bush or the Republicans don't have a clue about what asymmetrical warfare is.
