Tim should be #3 not CP3. LeBron is still overrated.

Tim, Tony and Manu should all be top 20.......

Lebron is without a doubt the best today. The guy is incredible. But if the question is who is THE player who you want on your team to get a championship, its without question TIM DUNCAN

Duncan is # 1
Lebron is # 2
Paul could be # 3
So could Dirk.
Duncan is the only two-way superstar in the NBA who makes his teammates better.

What does LeBron do on defense? Nothing. I give the #1 spot to Kobe.

Kobe is the top player today, but it is splitting hairs. Lebron is an underrated defender. It is good to see that the Spurs have their 3 in the top 20 (almost).

That's why Tim Duncan is the best.
Tim's pbank shot, pick setting, team defense, and ability to not go for ball fakes are still way underrated after all these years.
Lebron is not there yet on defense.

4. Tim Duncan, PF, San Antonio Spurs
He's still the most solid all-around big man in the game. Although Duncan hasn't been scoring as much with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili around, he's doing everything else and getting clutch baskets.

I think Manu needs to be higher on the list since it's based on how they'll do this year.

Tom Ziller had Duncan at 5, with Garnett at 4. (Then Kobe, Chris Paul and LeBron).

to be honest.... if Lebron would have TP and Manu in his team they would probably be just as competitve if not more
not to mention Mike Brown sucks in comparison to Pop

Unless your name is Michael Jordan, no guard or small foward could be as dominant as a dominant big man is (duncan, shaq, hakeem, russell)

Why don't you replace Kobe with LeBron last year and see if he gets his teeth kicked in by Paul Pierce.

Get ready for a season of tons of overating for Paul Pierce, it will be sickening

Lebron instead of Kobe on Lakers win last year?
most likely
Lebron instead of Kobe and the Lakers are losing to SA in the conference finals.
Bron didn't do shit against the Celtics and that wouldn't have changed with Lakers going cold from the outside, Pau entering the fetal position at sight of contact and Lamar becoming completely irrevelant despite no one guarding him.

No he just said in an interview that hes the best player in the game. So you obviously have to pencil him in at the top. Hes no liar ya know. :rolleyes

The talent would be the same but not the balance of the team.

The blurp is obviously discounting Manu's value as a result of his ankle surgery. The same can be said of players like Gilbert Arenas. This is more of a "50 best players of 2008-09" and therefore adjusted for injury and expected production this year.
