they will tell you it's only going away for the rich, but what the leave out is that the rich are the ones who sponsor those plans.

I would make a fortune if they decided to eliminate those breaks, but it's not a good idea for workers.

The thing is the gubment would have to make whatever they have in mind more attractive and popular than the 401ks. I just don't see it.

Do away with the tax breaks and that would eliminate the incentive for employer's to match or employees to contribute, or am I seeing this wrong?

Yeah, it's like the proponents of this plan think they are saving Americans from themselves, but once the market comes back there will be no talk of it.

It's pretty dumb, but there are a lot of dumb people out there who ignored the risks involved in any stock investment plan.
