i cant hate on any of them because they were all part of the 07 championship.
I absolutely cringe when I see Vaughn on the floor, but at least he hasn't been a total waste. When he stops trying to put on his Stephon Marbury impersonation, he's had stints where he's hit his shots and reasonably ran the offense.
Bonner, however, has been pretty much a total loss. The signing was lame, the player is lame, and his potential has become lame. He is easily the most movable piece on the team at this point, and it makes me wonder why the Spurs ever thought they could turn him into Horry 2.0.
Those two game winning shots they drew up for him were lame, too.

Oh, when you hit a guy who flops, it makes you a thug. The Suns should be glad Horry did that. He did the one thing none of Nash's teammates could do: seal a win for the Suns.
Did you know that, by rule, if you initiate contact with a defender while trying to dribble between the defender and the sideline, it's an offensive foul? Interesting tidbit.

I thought Suns fans liked to suggest that Horry hit Nash knowing that his teammates would leave the bench and get suspended. I always say that Horry stupidly cost the Spurs a game they could have won, but in doing so did a better job of winning a game for the Suns than any of the Suns players did.

I agree. I've met a lot of people who aren't Spurs fans, and I've never had one tell me "Oh man, I HATE Bruce Bowen." If Bowen hit game winning shots and ripped people's hearts out more often he'd probably rise in the rankings, but for now he's a distant second IMO.

1. Fabricio Oberto - proving that all Argentinians aren't created equal. Watching Scola play on the Rockets just fuels this hate, and forever wondering what would have been with a Duncan / Scola frontline instead.
2. Matt Bonner - This guy's game is so 1 dimensional its not even funny. I nearly chucked the remote at the screen the other day when Bonner recieved a nice entry pass with absolutely nobody around him, 5 feet from the rim, when most players would have just turned and shot a jumpshot or took a step and layed the ball in or dunked it. Bonner instead got confused and dribbled in a semi-circle and tried an off-balance running hook shot into the lane which added another 4-5 feet to his shot distance, and of course bricked it.

they say that? the dark side was at work.
nah, the spurs collapsed at the end. horry simply displayed the frustration felt by every member of the team at that moment and might have just tried to stop the momentum which was clearly on the side of the suns. whether he fouled nash or not, spurs had already lost grip of that game.

Not that you aren't entitled to answer or anything. I just meant that a non Spur fan's response isn't particularly shocking. It probably breaks down to 70 percent Manu, 23 percent Bowen, four percent Parker, two percent Duncan, and one percent for whatever personal grudge someone would have against one of the other guys.

Yeah I can admit he was lazy and he has only himself to blame for that, but the reason he was lazy because he wasn't happy in San Antonio because of the minutes he was getting, if Pop stuck by him and didn't replace with someone that is hopeless then Beno would of worked a lot harder. I don't know if you played the game but in order for you to play to your full potential you need to get consistent minutes, not get thrown in a dog house that can kill you career.

You're getting your wires crossed.
Popovich's mistake the previous season was benching Beno in favor of Van Exel.
Vaughn wasn't even on the team then.
If Beno had wanted to prove that he should have been worthy of those minutes the following season, he should have showed up in shape and raring to go.
Blame Popovich for going in favor of Van Exel if you want. But don't absolve Beno of his mistakes the following season, and don't blame Vaughn for something he wasn't even with the Spurs to experience then.

In 2005-06 Van Exel took minutes away from Udrih but at least Nick had done something in this league. But in 2006-07 Vaughn got signed and then Pop played Udrih for a few games, through him in the dog house and replaced him with J.V. Udrih got traded just before the 2007-08 season. I actually though you would know this. So i think you got your wires crossed.

Again, why would Popovich continue to play Beno if he was out of shape and was unmotivated during the 06-07 season?
You're implying that Popovich was only looking for excuses to not play Beno, when that wasn't true.
The backup PG spot was Beno's for the taking. Vaughn was the insurance policy. And Beno's uninspired play forced Popovich's hand.
