Lay down and assume the fetal position?

Drilling 3's (his biggest weakness), dunking over 7footers, playing the passing lane to perfection, blocking shots.

Good luck NBA. Enjoy the dynasty.

How can you be a dynasty when you have yet to win a championship with the current core that you have? BTW Pistons>Lakers

Ariza playing well would really make the Lakers an even more potent offensive team. But, it's not like they weren't already even if he doesn't pan out offensively. That's just a bonus. Not like he's going to be counted on to pitch in even 12-13 ppg a game. It's not like they need it. If he continues to play the way he showed in game 1, the Lakers will be a great offensive team. Again, they already were that without him doing that.

And, co-sign on the comment about actually winning a title before talking about a dynasty.

Look im not making any parade party plans we did what I expected last night nothing more, nothing less expect a more competitive game tonight
Only surprises were Ariza's outside shooting, and more emphasis on defense (hell even Space Cadet had some steals of Roy ...but Celts defense and even Cavs was just as impressive as our "O"

Now let's see what the rest of the WEST has to offer tonight starting with Spurs vs. Suns

If he keeps playing like this the NBA will launch an investigation into who killed Trevor Ariza and replaced him with a clone capable of playing consistently well.

The Lakers are deeeeep.

I'll put up a Celtics avatar for a month if Bynum has another bad game like that this month. He was mediocre in points, good in blocks and crappy in rebounds.

His 8 points in 28 minutes ain't stellar but it ain't too bad either. 3 blocks is good.

It is obvious the Lakers are the best team, everyone already knew that before the season started. They made a statement last night. Ariza hitting shots would add another dimension for sure because he is a young, defensive player. The Lakers offense was already the best, but the defense was a question mark; not any more if they can keep that intensity up.

Bynum played terrible last night, I do not care if he had 3 blocks. He shot terrible, was out of position and was the only guy playing with no energy. He still looked better than Oden. Bynum is over-hyped, but he is going to be good. It was probably good for him to struggle in the spotlight, it will humble him and make him better (until he has a 20/10 game). It is too early to declare a dynasty, but they looked great, and it was expected.

And dont forget those five fouls. And 8 points isn't "Mediocre". Thats the same production the Lakers got out of Kwame Brown.

Sure it is. Look at Kendrick Perkins yesterday:

2 points
8 rbds
6 fouls
2 turnovers

In 20 minutes.

Now THAT would be terrible. Most Centers don't score a whole lot these days in the NBA.

I actually think that the Lakers will finish the regular season 85-0. They'll be so dominant that the league will just award them an additional 3 wins in order to ensure that no team in the history of the league will ever be able to reach that level of dominance again.

Just combine this year's Lakers team with last year's Celtics team and then let them play every other team in the league 4 times so they can be the super team that went 112-0 in the regular season.

This team will be better than our threepeat team.

Certainly possible as this Lakers team has more balance and more depth.

However, that doesn't guarantee a championship. The 2003-04 Lakers were probably better than the three-peat teams.

Ariza playing like the next the Michael Cooper once again. Not only is he doing it on the defensive end but he's draining 3's with supreme confidence. Teams simply can't matchup with him when the Lakers are trotting all those weapons out there.

But the main thing is the Lakers are looking like one of the best defenses in the league. Bynum holding down the interior and Ariza causing havoc everywhere else and thats very thing they were missing in the finals.

However, that doesn't guarantee a championship. The 2003-04 Lakers were probably better than the three-peat teams.

tldr version: Hahah, no. 99-01 teams would destroy that 2004 that had no bench whatsoever, fat shaq, cancer payton, mug shot Kobe and one knee Malone. 04 would make it a series against the 2002 squad though.

To be honest, if I was a Lakers fan, I'd kind of hope Bynum wasn't playing. When he gets back, he's NOT going to be game ready. Odom is playing well, and Bynum may actually hinder the team if he gets back rusty.

We're definitely counting on Oden. He's actually playing very well. He gets completely screwed by the refs, but we can deal with that. With Oden and Przybilla manning the 5 we don't give up hardly any easy shit at the rack.
