Oden has had two surgeries before he turned 20
then hurts his foot in his first NBA games after playing 12 minutes and scoring 0 points

I think the blazer fans were pretty cocky, but rubbing in an injury is just being an asshole.

The guy stepped on someone's foot. Anyone's going to get hurt from that.

To early to tell but I thought the same thing. He was constantly hurt in College too. I can't help but think that this team would have been better off drafting Durant and moving a couple of 3's for a vet PG like a Mo Williams and then taking a workhorse like Lopez in the last draft.

Even if he pans out he still only good for 10 and 10 maybe 14 and 11 if he really develops. He'll never dominate the offensive end of things and you can't help but think that if he continues to be prone to ankle and knee injuries he'll never be dominate on the defensive end either.

If he's not showing amazing things in practice I'd try hard to move him.

Once you get as old as Greg is it doesn't take much to get hurt.

I think I have to agree.

Tough break for him and the blazers. Man,this guy just seems to have bad luck in the health department. Well hopefully he is just getting it all out of his system now so he will have a healthy rest of his career.

The guy had an injury free preseason logging heavy mins - this is just a bad turn of luck (and the foot).

Although it wasnt much, he definitely looked like he belonged. He made Bynum his bitch the one time he finally got deep post position on him, though he couldnt make the free throws. He could be another Tim Duncan-level rebounder undoubtedly.

Me too. Just bad timing, hell look at how many players got injured just in the preseason.

That is sad. For some reason I really like Oden and want him to do well.

He's like the grandpa I never had

When it comes to big men in Portland, Bowie jokes will never be unfunny.
