View Full Version : 3 Reasons to Like the Hated Rockets

1. Ron Artest - the Spurs passed on trading Steve Smith for Artest back in 2001

2. Brent Barry - the Spurs let him go and still start Mike Finley?

3. Luis Scola - why did the Spurs let that happen again?

Why don't we just trade Duncan to Houston while we're at it?

I think if the Rockets are healthy, play together for a while and Artest doesn't go haywire. They will be better than LA and NO.

I agree...even better than us. Artest showed last night that he is capable of stepping in and shouldering the load when TMac or Yao goes down. If all three are 100% and playing together in April this team is my pick to win it all. A small ball lineup of Alston, TMac, Artest, Battier and Yao would devastate almost any team defensively...plus you have all those dirty work forwards to plug in.

I don't care for Artest at all...but that was straight up BS. He was actually trying to help seperate the players that were mad at each other. Guilty by reputation I guess.

Artest will be on best behavior in this 1-year deal.

Shame on the Spurs for not capitalizing.

I never disliked the Rockets. When I became a spur fan. I also watched other texas teams. Since the rockets got a ring first and the spurs were always fishing. I watched them. I dont dislike them now. Now I dont like the Mavs. But when the spurs go fishing early again this season, I hope at least the rockets are still around to keep watching the NBA.

Where are those pvssies who used to always argue that Artest wasn't that good or he is a headcase or there was no way to get him.

Please explain how he is starring for the Rockets right now on a 1-year deal.

Artets could've held the line for the Spurs and put the team over the top when Manu got back.

Instead I have to watch Bowen embarrass himself night after night.
