Good for Bargnani. Now he will do that in five more games in the season and blow the rest.

I still like the Raptors a lot because of Bosh and Parker, but I just do not have the time to follow three teams! I watched most of the Pacers game, and part of both Spurs games. I haven't even gotten to watch Hedo play yet this season.

I have said Bargnani will have a very good year. He looks very good and he clearly has the skill. The fact he is being aggressive and even posting up a little more puts him in a great position to help the Raps.

BOSH NAMED NBA'S EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF WEEK

NEW YORK - Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh was named the Eastern Conference's player of the week Monday, while New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul took the Western Conference honour.

Bosh led the Raptors to a 3-0 week, including two road wins, by averaging 26.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

He recorded at least 20 points in all three contests and led the team in rebounds each game.

Paul also led the Hornets to a 3-0 week, pacing the league in assists with 12.0 per game, to go along with 21.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals.

I think of the Raptors as the "whatever" team but damn they've looked very good.

The Eastern Twin Towers of Bosh & O'Neal have been killin' out there.

It's early but this might be the first year a Canadian team tops a conference.

Top 'o the Conference might be pushing it but they're top 4 in the East with a boatload of talent.

The Raptors will only go as far as Bosh and O'Neal take them. O' Neal being injured is a VERY bad thing, there's no defense in the paint without him.

Jose Calderon may be a good point guard but his defense truly sucks.

Can you believe these FG%:
Pierce 3-6
Garnett 7-10
Perkins 6-8
Allen 8-12
Rondo 6-11

The Celtics starting line-up shot 64% and the whole team shot 62%, plus they were 59% from the 3-point line.

Would have even worse but the Celtics were 18-30 from the FT line with the Raptors going 34-37 from the charity stripe.

Guess I should add this here:

Toronto may be interested in trading for Joe Smith because Jermaine O’Neal could be on the trading block. The Oregonian is reporting today that Toronto may be ready to give up on the O’Neal/Bosh front line experiment. When asked about the possibility of a trade, O’Neal said to reporters, “I don’t worry about that stuff.” What team would possibly look at bringing the veteran whose skills seem to be on the decline? Quite a few according to insiders, even though some will be scared off by O’Neals bloated $44 Million dollars owed over this season and next. It’s amazing to think at one time(Summer 2007), two of the three best teams in the league(Cavs and Lakers) were willing to give up draft picks and multiple players to Indiana for O’Neal. Now, the Raptors will be lucky to get a first round pick or an expiring contract of an equally overpaid player.

Raptors were really dumb for firing Mitchell.

They panicked; Jay Triano sucks.

Why the Raps sucked so bad:

- Getting JO (not picking on him, he is a heck of a player, but he is injury prone)

- Calderon's injury; put it this way; when he is playing, Raps are much better

- Firing Mitchell: apprently, Colangelo made him pay the price for giving more minutes to Bargnani, which sucks; however, Bargnani had a very good 2008-2009 (sorry Timvp, but it's true)

- Thinking Kapono is a defensive specialist

- Blowing leads: Raps play well for the first 2.5 quarters, have the lead against excellent teams, but they can not keep the damn lead

- DE-FENSE: sounds familiar? Raptors had none

- Chris Bosh: I love him to death; he plays to win, but he has been so frustrated with the losses this season that he has started carrying a negative attitude; but I understand him, and he is still young; when they won in Orlando a few weeks ago, he was so happy, he looked like he won the NBA title;he just wants to win games.

I hope Raptors have already had their confidence totally destoryed by the fail of this season, and start to rebuild their team in this summer. as Chris Bosh will leave that team anyway, it'll be a better option for the Raptors to trade him for some talents and picks this summer than to let him walk one season later with nothing back. If I were Raptors GM I would trade Bosh to Dallas for Josh and fillers. :wakeup

It really is sad to see because 3 years ago the team was in a similar position, and they brought in a bunch of new guys and things turned around in the blink of an eye. Then, they got rid of almost all those people at once, and here we go again.

I said almost a year ago: If they were intent on trading TJ, it should have been for a perimeter player; then they should have held onto Rasho and Delfino, started Andrea, and drafted Hibbert for themselves.

Jose, Ukic
Parker, trade, Delfino, Kapono, Moon
Bosh, Andrea, Rasho, Hibbert, Humps

Bargnani had a nice bounce back and growth year. He showed a nice array of offensive weapons and he also blocked a fair amount of shots. He still needs to work on his rebounding along with his PnR defense, but his low post defense seemed to improve a little bit.

Solid year from the kid.
