WTF!!! trade the whole team, play Manu with crutches, put high heels on the big mans for rebounds, shave Pops beard, Trade for Beno.

Not really, sucks we are 0-2 but I'm not going to sweat it. Waaaaaaaay to early in the season to bitch and get my blood pressure up. Just like the Spurs I'm not young and can't be piss 24-7 I got to pace myself, so I'll hold all my piss off topics till the after the all star. My Dr. would agree.

Congrat's Portland. :toast

it seems you have bipolar.
unless all your 'go spurs go' cheers are completely sarcastic.

either rag on the spurs 24/7, or don't. but don't flip flop between the two - that's just stupid.

Didn't the Spurs lose 4 in a row during the 2004 season and were like 8-11 or something? I need to go look this up

Nevermind, SA was only 9-10 when they dropped 4 in a row early in the 2003-2004 season.

They were also 6-8 during the 98-99 season, when everyone wanted Pop fired for real.

but it's a very good 0-2. very good in that the spurs played well, especially considering the circumstances. I'm pleasantly surprised with both Mason and Farmer. Hopefully the spurs will get some blowouts in the upcoming games and Hill will get a chance to see some action. I really hope Popovich gives him a shot.

The Blazers hit a lot of contested jumpers and the Spurs had a good shot at the buzzer to win on the road. I'm perfectly happy with the team's effort. I can't imagine being much more optimistic with this roster after an 0-2 start.

0-2........but in both games, the Spurs were within 1 possession of tying or taking the lead in the final 30 seconds. So even with all the absent players, they are hanging in there. I actually like these close losses, as it makes the team tougher and brings them closer. Tough losses in October and November, tend to become tough wins in March, April, and the postseason for the Spurs.

GO SPURS GO

I'm glad ST hasn't reached midseason form on their meltdowns yet.

There are much better teams in the conference than Phx and Portland. I wouldn't get so caught up in these moral victories.

I count the Lakers, NO and Houston... I don't see any other being substantially better than our team right now... I don't like our current record, but I think we played well given the circumstances. We just need to make the playoffs and improve as we go along. I think we'll be in the mix barring any injury after the AllStar break...

And they wanted David Robinson to be traded too.

The shooting is there. We really miss Manu out there as another man who can create his own offense for the team. Our defense is whats really losing us these games. Cohesive defense comes with time though. The only thing is do we have the personnel to have that down the stretch stopper defense that we've had in past championship seasons. I hope Toliver gets back soon and can help contribute defensively and the same for Mahinmi. We need some more twin tower action.

If what we're seeing is true and Bowen is starting to rapidly decline and if Pop can't get some regular contributions from the bench, none of it will even matter.

My team never won the finals, but I've seen them start 0-5 and make the WCF, so don't worry.

Having 2 of our players in the scoring top 5 looks good but it's really not a good sign.
I hope others will step up like Mason does
