View Full Version : Mavs game or election coverage?

I have the option of either going to the Mavs game tonight or staying home and watching the election unfold.
Usually I'd pick the Mavs game without a second thought, but honestly the fact that the Spurs are playing without Manu has dampened my enthusiasm for the first leg of the season. I just feel like this next month is an extended preseason. I know (think) Pop doesn't believe that and I shouldn't either... but that's just the way I feel.
Suggestions would be welcomed.
Yeah... fuck it... I'll go to the game.

No questions. It's all Spurs, all the time. THe Election coverage will be viewed by way of the crawl on the bottom of the screen.

I suggest you give me those tickets and text me the results of the election.

I've already given away my tickets for tonight's game and will be watching the Spurs and the election returns on a split screen.
I think the league should just go dark on Election Day every 4 years, but that's probably just me.

jman should have his fan card revoked. Who gives a fuck about election coverage??? Obama is a lock to win it. I'll be watching Mavs/Spurs on League Pass and I could give a shit about the election coverage.

wow, election coverage may last for days. States machines will fuck up and cause a delay. Has happen past two elections. Plus, either party will pull a recount or some shit.
Unless it is Obama by a landslide, we won't find out tonight.
So, go to the game, you ain't going to miss much.
Be happy you can go to Spurs games, I live in Albuquerque.

I'd go to the game, if I were you. If you voted, you've done your job as a US citizen.
There is an outside chance we won't know the official winner of the election today (Nov. 4th). I say that because if the electoral voting ends up close, there may be some contested military votes that arrived late, including the key state of Pennsylvania.

Anything will be better than listening to the talking sock puppets spend 15 minutes "analyzing" each vote as it comes in

November game vs. the most exciting presidential election in my lifetime is a pretty easy call. If this was a game in January or later, there's no question I'd choose the game. No one wins a title in November though.

My Dish Network tuner allows running two programs simultaneously with full PVR and PIP functions. I can watch both of them side by side. Of course, I'm more optimistic about the Spurs' chances... :(

As it turns out, both were equally depressing to watch. At least things have a chance to get better for the Spurs in the next two years.
