It includes a couple of Spurs-related names and one or two that drew interest in the regular draft.

Jeff Trepagnier is a top prospect in the d-league draft? Isn't he drawing Medicare by now?

two former toros on the list..ezra and clack.

I guess europe didn't work out for them. or maybe they are just gonna see how it goes and leave in the middle of the season.

I know Clack left last year after his wife had the baby.

:lol

James White would be a nice pick if he is available. I'm guessing he'll get snatched up quickly though due to his ability to excite fans.

Other players on that list I like are Derrick Byars, Jermareo Davidson, Gary Forbes, Chris Richard and Larry Ayuso. Byars was a highly rated prospect until injury issues made his stock come crashing down. Davidson looked like a decent enough prospect last year with the Bobcats. Forbes was dominant in the pre-draft camps and could possibly be a really good D-League player. Richard is extremely raw after playing limited minutes both at Florida and with the T'Wolves. Ayuso is up there in age but Farmer doesn't work out, he's a good option to fill in as the instant offense player off the bench. Having been in Spurs training camp is also a plus.

Any two of those six players with their first two picks would be a good pull :tu

Byars and Davidson would be good pick ups.....Forbes could be a good 3 in a couple years.

And just to make sure I understand, the Toros don't have to compete with anyone for Hairston, right?

And just to make sure I understand, the Toros don't have to compete with anyone for Hairston, right? Not in the D-League. He could still get signed by a Euro team if he wants the money ... or of course, an NBA team.

Our top players can expect to make a little over $30K over 5 months, which equates to $72K on an annual basis - certainly not minimum wage. They receive full benefits, free housing, per diem while on the road, and free gear from adidas.http://my.nba.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5700022255

I've read somewhere about the minimum's being a little over half the maximum, but I'm not sure.

No surprise that Coby Karl was allocated to the Idaho Stampede yesterday.

I read a post on another board that listed the players Dakota is bringing back too, so the information is starting to trickle out.

From what I can gather, the deadline for signing a D-League deal was last night.

And it looks like non-expansion teams have a total of seven players they can either newly allocate or bring back from last season's team.

RU has posted the full list of availble players in the draft:

After a cursory look at the list, I think the quality big men are going to be long gone before Toros pick, and they are more fortunate than most teams to have three 6'8"-6'9" guys who can play basketball. If someone like Antonio Meeking or Erik Daniels falls, they should grab him but I don't see that happening. I would love to see if O'Neal Mims could learn to play in the Toros/Spurs system -- he's an impressive athlete.

The good news is there are plenty of playmakers to choose from. Tierre Brown would be a super-safe choice if he's available, but if the Toros want to take a flyer on upside they might want to look at Alexsander Ugrinoski.

The draft players pool looks significantly better than last year.
While Toros won't get a top player with their pick they should get a couple of good players with the 16th and 17th picsk.

Good first pick. A little meh with the second, but there was a real dearth of big men this season, so might as well take a chance with one that can shoot.

Third and fourth round picks are out of the park, relatively speaking.

Sioux Falls and Dakota are the strongest teams on paper, but the Toros aren't too far behind and look good in the SW division.
