San Antonio Spurs rookie point guard Beno Udrih will host one of the FedEx Global Village basketball clinics at the 2005 NBA All-Star Jam Session in Denver this weekend.
FedEx Corp. and the NBA named the lineup of NBA international players to take part in the first-ever FedEx Global Village. FedEx Corp. has called upon Steve Nash (Canada), Peja Stojakovic (Serbia and Montenegro), Andrei Kirilenko (Russia), Pau Gasol (Spain), Eduardo Najera (Mexico), Nene (Brazil) and Dikembe Mutombo (Congo) to promote their international delivery services.
The FedEx Global Village is part of a program to highlight the FedEx portfolio of international shipping options among import and export customers in the United States and includes an interactive basketball, media and cultural area that will be featured at the 2005 NBA All-Star Jam Session in Denver.
Nene will host and tip-off a weekend full of basketball clinics Friday at the FedEx Global Village. Mutombo, Udrih, Luol Deng (Sudan), Vladimir Radmanovic (Serbia and Montenegro) and former NBA center Manute Bol (Sudan) will also host the clinics over the weekend.
Some of the clinic participants will be chosen from top shooting performers taking part in the "Around the World" court. A limited number of other fans who ship via FedEx at the NBA Store in Jam Session will also have an opportunity to participate.
