Maybe try trapping TP off the screen but instead they kept going under the screen. No in game adjustments what so ever. Unbelievable game by TP but an even shittier performance by Wittman
Apparently, according to a pretty knowledgable dude on another NBA forum, this is only the 3rd time in the past 20+ years that someone has put up 50 points and 10 assists with the other 2 being Jordan and Marbury.

Some people are never happy. It's a 'what have you done for me lately' mentality. It's easy to toss around blame when the team is playing lousy and Parker has the bigger role and responsibility to take a bigger hit than Bowen and Finley. There When He's Needed
With 55 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, Tony Parker became the sixth player -- and just the second point guard -- in NBA history to record a 50-10-5 game since the 1967-68 season.
Tony Parker, SA 2008-09
LeBron James, CLE 2007-08
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, MIL 1974-75
Rick Barry, GS 1973-74
Nate Archibald, KCO 1972-73
Wilt Chamberlain, PHI 1967-68
Should've been a triple double.

the story behind the photo:
http://www.nba.com/spurs/gameday/081105.html
After Al Jefferson backed down Tim Duncan and sank a turnaround hook to put Minnesota up 116-114 with 2 1/2 seconds left in the first overtime, Parker took the inbounds pass, dribbled right, pump-faked once and let the ball fly. He let a sly smile creep across his normally stone face (:D) as the Wolves trudged back to the bench.
Jefferson paused to sit on the scorer's table before play resumed and just shook his head as if to say, "What more can we do?'' (:lol)
San Antonio won for the first time in four games this season, and picked up its sixth straight win and 11th in the last 12 meetings against Minnesota.

Come on we all know that TP is just a great role player but he has no potential to be a franchise player.
We must trade him now his value is up may be we can have a first round pick for him.
His performance of last night just demonstrated again that he is not a true PG, a true PG would have done 55 assists and 10 points.
Besides 55 pts is the proof that TP is selfish: he didn't pass the ball at all for manu... wait manu was not here... well no assist to Finley... wait finley made a 0-255.
:)
I'm very happy for him and props also to Mason and THE franchise player TD.

I read that too.
It's only four games and the defense will get better!
Also, you can get lost in the forest with stats. The Spurs needed this win and you will have a night or two in an 82 game season...where a guy just goes off!!
Manu did it last year to the Timberpuppies with 46 points and won the game in the last few seconds!!!
I will give this team 20 or 30 games before I start looking at the stats to determine how this team will do with their defense.
Props to TP on his fantastic night, though!!!!

Sometimes a win is all you need....no matter who it's against! Remember, last season Manu had 46 points and won the game 100-99 over the Timberwolves.
You will have games like this in a 82 game season.
Moreover, three of the four games in this early season came down to the last minute in the game and to have one of them go your way and on the road....you will take it!!!!
