My fiancee is having a c-section delivery an hour from now.
I got to talk to the doctor and he said she has myoma and needs to have a myomectomy after c-section.
Please pray for her and the safe delivery of our first baby. Thanks everyone!

When we pray together its effective. It can change things. "For where two or three come together in My name, there I am with them."

I've had kids...why on the internet an hour till delivery? Support her, calm her, kiss her, and tell her all will be well.

I hate to be evil and will still pray for your baby and fiancee...it's the father I'm worried about.

it wasn't right for the wonder woman of the world to come in and bash a man while he was down...its not like he was at the Mens Club Praying...he was simply looking for more power for his prayers...and the internet is a great source to spread the word.

She's still resting right now but her family took a lot of pictures + videos and said they'll be sending it to me soon. I'm so excited to see my first child! ...Sucks though that I wasn't there to experience it.
Good thing we have the internets.

Why do you find it funny? All you gotta do is have faith man. Prayer without faith is dead. - It's working out well for us so far. :)

To say something as exact as with prayer all things are possible is a bit extreme wouldn't you agree? If I or we pray that Heath Ledger comes back alive or that an amputee gets his limb back will it really happen? NOPE.

Im not going to argue with those who have a faith or belief in a religion, all the more power to you but when you put statements as conclusive as the one above out there it irks me. Congrats on the healthy baby by the way.

Jesus was able to make the dead rise again right? He was faithful when He prayed so the saying: "with prayer ALL things are possible" is plausible. And no, im not religious.

She said all things are possible, not all things are certain. If you are gonna try to make an argument out of nothing, at least try to make some sense about it.

In religion with prayer and believe all things are possible. It does not mean that if you pray and believe things will happen, but it could happen. Possibility, probability and certainty are very different things.

For as much as atheist complain about how religious people try to shove their believe into people, in this site I have noticed that non religious people have the exact same approach. The thread starter asked for a prayer, therefore the basis of the thread is religious, a statement such as "with prayer anything is possible" its quite acceptable.

Thank you Kris!

For you non believers, I just pray some day, you won't be begging for a miracle, and just can't figure out who to ask. Personaly, when I prayed for miracles, my prayers were answered. Can we just leave it at that? When some one on this board asks for prayers, just respect them and the posters that agree to pray. If you don't pray, and just want to send positive thought, that's fine too. There are times to be serious and times to be stupid. This thread wasn't intended to be stupid.

Jesus fucking Christ people. Why do we always have to turn "prayer/update" threads as a catalyst for a religious debate. We have them weekly. The arguments get rehashed and old. We all know who are believers and who are not. If you are not a believer, imho, it would be great to just skip past the thread.

And pawe, congrats on all the progress that has been made in the last 24 hours! I'm glad it's gone well.

Seriously if you guys want to argue religion there are tons of other threads to do that in. I'm a pretty big dickhead and I manage to keep myself from dicking up a reasonable thread like this. Dude asked for some well wishes not a debate.

I am a person of faith but even I have concerns when people make certain statements. I know it is comforting to you at the time, but just so you realize what you are implying about other people whose outcomes are not as easy to handle. I am sure they prayed just as hard and believed just as intensely. I am happy for the OP and that is wonderful for him, but I feel certain there are many of just as deep faith dealing with tragedies.

Max Krizma if your going to try to argue with someone who's making an argument at least make sense in what you are saying. All things are not possible with prayer period. Game over thanks for playing. And again congrats on the baby.

Regardless, if she was close to full term-what the baby will be drinking is colostrum. It's kindof a clear version of milk. Her full milk is coming in in about 2-3 days, then BOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYY her boobs are going to get huge for the next months...get back to her and have fun with those!!! :downspin:

i dunno man, what do you want us to say that will confort him or any other members that is also having problems to stay positive?

BS man, faith religion is the last step that makes you have any belief left...it gives you hope, something out of your hands waiting for a miracle to happen.

Im atheist, i believe in medicine everyday is advancing, doctors/surgeons/GPS/practictioners are improving skills and we all know the both combine is limited. you just gotto believe in them, or else you wont have this operation to begin with, sitting in the waitin room alot of shit can come into ur head and play mind games...and then the last thing you turn to? you look up and just hope whoever is up there is listening to you.

:tu :tu

The first 24-36 hours are more about getting the baby used to the nipple. The more she attempts breast feeding the more comfortable she will get at it and the milk will come. It's very important to be relaxed. She ought to see if there is a breast feeding coach at the hospital. They can show her techniques to use. I would mention one or two here, but the IQ level of this board isn't high enough to keep it professional. :lol

You could also go to the LaLeche League website at http://www.lllusa.org/ . I think you can find some great advice there.

Thanks for the advice! The lactation nurse did say she has colostrum right now and the milk would probably come in after 2-3 days. It's so nice to hear my baby hum and cry and sneeze even if it was just on the phone. cant wait to see him and hold him.
