Was in Las Vegas to give a lecture at the Red Rock Casino (new, off the busy strip, and very nice) and got 12 to 1 odds on Spurs still winning championship vs. 1:4 at one time this year). The bookie said that a lot of experienced NBA gamblers were putting something down on the Spurs (with some placing large bets) so I put a little and consider it money in the bank - as the Spurs will recover from this nightmare and slip into the playoffs as the most dangerous low seed ever!

This was the only bet of any kind I placed in Vegas as I don't normally gamble but feel great that Spurs sill have a chance, and if so, would have nearly enough money in the bank to pay for a trip to SA during the finals and a ticket!

Keep the faith! "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"

Don't want to rain on your parade, but the odds should be 14 to 16 to 1 as many online sportsbooks have this.

At least I root for a storied franchise not one known primarily for close calls and thuggery! (and blazed hopes of bigmen with bad lower extremities!)
