As bad as it's seemed to be so far, the Spurs are one game out of 8th place in the west. It's WAY too early to panic.

Wow! It's a relief to know that the Spurs are playing for an 8th seed. What a difference a year makes.

Well to be more fair, we're just 2 games out of first in the division, which would garner us no worse than a top 4 seed in the West.

I just hope we can stay within that type of striking distance while the team gets healthy.

If they're 9-11th place in January, then we can panic, otherswize, just refer to m33po's new avatar.:ihit

Brightness, something you know about as well as you know perspective. You're just touching on all your strengths today.

Because we all know that 5 games equals a year.

Actually, I'd say that if they're in 9th - 11th place in January, I like their chances to make the playoffs. If they're much further back than that, things might get tougher.

Assuming that they have everyone back and at 100 percent by Christmas, how many games out do they have to be in order to be unable to make it up? At this rate they'll be six games back of 8th place by then, right?. Who really thinks a healthy Spurs team can't make that up?

If they're whole by Christmas and within 6-8 games of the 8th spot, I think their chances will be pretty good.

And I'm certain that they'd be among the most feared 5-8 seeds in many, many, many years of playoff basketball.

My perspective: I'm never interested in Spurs basketball until maybe MLK Day. I'm interested now. The youngsters and Tim played +2 ball after Parker went out. If we can get Finley and Bonner into suits and behind the bench, it'll all be good.
