Cowboys win this game 27-17. The D has shown great strides against the Giants but Brad Johnson fucked them over with a short field off his ints.

Over the past few years, the Skins have started off struggling then finish the season strong. This year it just seems like the opposite will happen. They started off to a strong 6-2 start, but finish the season at 9-7 or 10-6. I can see this team stumbling down the stretch.

The Cowboys are going to turn their season around, and it begins this Sunday night. Romo is back and I see him being a smarter better qb than what he was before he got hurt. The teams spirits will be dramatically lifted with him back. What the cowboys have done in December the past 2 years I think has taken place already. Like I said, I can see the Cowboys going 6-1 at worse but 7-0 wouldnt shock me either. The players are going to rally around themselves. Wade Phillips coaching wont be why the Boys turn their season around. Guys will also be coming back from injury. For me, I can see the Cowboys being the hottest team going into the playoffs. Time will tell. That's why they play the games.

santana moss sucks...i have him on my fantasy team and he's given me shit this year...so i think he's going to act a fool against the cowboys and he gives me nothing. i've been trying to trade his ass for a bucket of chicken and a back up tight end for weeks.

in protest, i will be sitting moss this weekend and he will have 2 touchdowns and the cowboys will win...sacrifice baby!

From what I understand CP has a knee sprain. Not a partially torn MCL. That news probably is wishful thinking by the Dallas Morning News. Which I would not rely upon as any kind of a reliable source of facts concerning the Redskins.

Unfortunately, in the NFC East, sitting him 2 games could mean the season.

That said, if Betts is ready to go (which is far from a sure thing) - this isn't nearly as troublesome.

Damn that fucking blows. If Portis has to sit out a few weeks (which is possible) then that team is fucked. I predicted the Skins falling apart in the 2nd half but I didnt think it would be due to injuries. I had Portis on my fantasy team until I traded him for Adrian Peterson, Greg Jennings and Brandon Jacobs 2 weeks ago.:hat

As surprisingly pleasant as this season has been so far, the Skins have proven in every game they have almost zero margin for error. I can't see them going very far without Portis, unless Alexander guzzles from the Fountain of 2005.

If Betts can carry the load for a couple of weeks that might help, but it just sucks having them both hurt at the same time.

I don't know about that. While they do have a great turnover ratio, they haven't remotely played flawless football yet. They've had a large amount of error in terms of finishing drives and special teams thus far this season. They also haven't rushed the passer as well I expect them to.

Whisky Dog
11-16-2008, 09:44 PM
The way they started this game they are lucky to only be down 3 points right now. Sucks that the Redskins get the ball in the 3rd, that's going to be a crucial stop that the Cowboys need to get to try to get the offense some momentum again.

So, if the Cowboys blow this game like they probably will... should Wade be sent packing?

MannyIsGod
11-16-2008, 09:48 PM
That touchback play was a momentum changer which is why allowing the subsequent return hurts the cowboys so much.

Whisky Dog
11-16-2008, 09:51 PM
The main thing hurting the Cowboys is that they are a group of undisciplined, weak minded freaks led by a fucking giant marshmallow.

Other than that tough mofo Witten and possibly Barber.

MannyIsGod
11-16-2008, 09:55 PM
Witten is a bad ass and so is Barber. Ware is awesome too, but man outside of that I pretty much can't stand most of the Cowboys.

Has Madden gotten somehow worse?

"Once he spiked the ball, that brought up 4th down."

Madden's always been a master of delivering the obvious. I know he was a spectacular coach, but he hasn't added anything to the broadcast that I'm not aware of sitting on my couch since I was 12 years old.

Damn good win for the Boys. Romo had rust.
Still terrible penalities, but to hold Portis in check, and win on the road. Very impressive

Congrats cowboy fan.

That was a momenter changer. It was the correct call though.

Maybe but Washington still had many chances to win.

That draw play on 3rd and long when Campbell took off for like 20 yards or something was impressive.

The only threat in the NFC to the NY Giants are the Cowboys. 6-4 or not, they matchup quite well with them. Hell the Giants said the playoff game that had them really believing was that win in Dallas.

The Skins are in trouble. They are already falling apart. I saw it coming especially after they started off 6-2. They either start off bad and finish strong or it flip flops. As for the Cowboys, they should be 8-4 before their rough December. I personally see this team getting better as the weeks go on. This win could do alot of good for them in the long run.

that's the second game in a row where washington had an opportunity to really really put the foot on the gas early, but let the opponent stay in the game, then folded down the stretch (albeit much earlier folding against the steelers).

it just goes down to the law of averages that the more games you let be decided in the final 5 minutes, the more likely you are to lose as many as you win.

You get two turnovers and no points off of them against a team that's moving the ball and you're probably not going to win.

Rock Cartwright made an idiotic play. The ball was dead, all he had to do was run down and grab it. Instead, he made the football equivalent of sliding into first base--phony hustle which cost the team.

He also meathanded the second half kickoff out of bounds. I nominated him for Cowboys special teams MVP.

As for that punt, I'm not sure he even needed to touch it. It looked to me at the time like it was almost stopped when he got to it.

?

I bet the Cowboys at -2, did the line change before kickoff or something?

I got lucky that I even won that game. From what I read before kickoff, Portis and Betts were supposed to be out. I was not very excited seeing them take the field after I dropped 250 on that game.

Betting lines are about how people are betting, not about who people that don't bet think is going to win. I was referring to the rivalry in general and not betting, but then I heard that Betts was playing on Saturday and knew Portis was going to start well before kickoff, so I appear to be getting better info than you are.

Since the Cowboys have looked awful and were all but dead and buried, it's not surprising that they won the game.

Yep tie breaker rules favor Washington. While Dallas does have the most recent win, that rates scoreboard, IMO, until the next day. Then you concentrate on the next game. Besides, while the win was important, Dallas still has an uphill battle.
