I think our "projected" starters match up well, it will be key to stop Lee and Nate coming off the bench. Randolph is the only real problem I see in the starting unit, he has been playing well and has nice range.

Danilo Gallinari is not with the team due to lingering back pain, something Alan Hahn of Newsday says is a major concern.

But even with Gallinari in New York having tests on his ailing back, the team will not activate Stephon Marbury for Tuesday's game in San Antonio. When asked who will be his twelfth man, Mike D'Antoni said that "Eddy Curry will probably dress."

Marbury didn't even take off his sweats for the morning shoot-around.

"Bottom line here is the Knicks simply will not play or now even dress Stephon Marbury. Period," writes Hahn. "Barring a major injury to a starting guard -- and even then I might think Nate gets the nod and Anthony Roberson gets more minutes -- the only way Marbury gets into an NBA game this season might have to be in another team's uniform."

Hahn is reporting that the Knicks would reach a buyout whereby Marbury agrees to accept the difference between what is left on his contract and what another team pays him this season as a free-agent.

Absent that kind of deal, the peaceful stalemate continues.

There IS a FSN HD Channel. It's just always Off Air. I think I've seen exactly one game on it, then it went back down.

If the Spurs come out, brick their first 10 shots, and let the Knicks build a lead, this team does not have the confidence nor the firepower to try to dig it out.

I'm LOVING this game though..this is Spurs basketball..ugly, grinding it out with defense..we're playing very good defense..the shots New York is making have been contested shots for the most part..a few mistakes, but a lot better than before..the Knicks offense is very good too, so it actually does mean something..

Duncan needs to get the ball every time though..he should be able to dominate Randolph..

Jacque Vaughn showing signs that he should still not be shooting the ball on a regular basis. I still think his contributions are underrated, but only when he plays within the offense and focuses on distributing the ball. If the PG slot needs to shoot, then Hill and Mason should be in there constantly.

Tolliver as the first big off the bench is interesting. Perhaps Pop decided that Kurt Thomas was not a good fit against the running Knicks.
