Hill needs to drive the ball. FFS someone, anyone needs to drive the ball. Stop stagnating the offense by taking two dribbles and passing all the time.

Pop's major fuck up tonight was not playing Farmer.
No one drove to the rack. Not one fucking player. offense was stagnant as shit. no movement, just jumper after jumper.
Even Tim played piss poor. Too many Jumpers for Tim. He didn't get any inside game going at all.
Pathetic, soft performance offensively.
Defense has been solid.

Historically we usually lose to the Bucks, especially in their gym.
Regardless, the loss hurts after leading by double digits at the half.

No one penetrated. Why didn't Farmer get some court time when we had a lead to see if he could help push the lead up higher?
Stagnant offense sucks.
I might agree with Ducks. Spurs seem to have gotten bigger wins when TD is out with either Manu or Tony by themselves. I know I'm going a bit overboard with that statement, but we need to have more motion on the offense. The defense was actually decent again tonight.
I didn't really like Hill's game on offense either. Can he get to the rack at all? It really does make you miss Tony's penetration. I don't think I'll complain now every time Tony drives and then dribbles back out to the perimeter to reset the offense.
Roger Mason needs to play better with the game on the line. He's not willing to take the shot. Not like Manu, Sjax or even Parker.
if we survived .4 ... no way we should be kickin ourselves over this.

Good game tonight. Milwaukee just hit a few lucky shots here and there. With an extra rebound or call to go our way, the game is ours. I'm not too concerned at this point with the 2-5 record.
Utah and New Orleans lost tonight, how tough can the West be? Not very.

He also gave up some easy boards, had a terrible turnover and allowed an and-one by biting on a pump fake. Thank the refs for getting him started with that terrible blocking foul call.
Speaking of Timmy, his exasperated, "someone else's fault" body language isn't good for anyone on the team, and I really wish someone would tell him to knock it the fuck off.
george hill scored 4 pts in the first few minutes of the first quarter and did not score since then. tolliver was 1-6 from the 3pt line, mason 2-10 FG, out rebounded 47-37. what concerns me isn't as much as the offensive game because that will surely improve when ginobili and parker comes back. it is the rebounding and the lack of an interior presence that concerns me because no one is coming to help except maybe mahinmi.

That defense can beat anyone, especially if they do a better job of rebounding. The offense is still a work in progress, and Pop's going to overcoach for a while and cost the team some games.
Besides, I've seen fully healthy Spurs teams lose to undermanned Bucks teams in the Duncan era. This team owns the Spurs. No shame in that.

Final: Bucks 82, Spurs 78 (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/spursworld/2008/11/gameday_spurs_vs_bucks.html)
FOURTH QUARTER
The Spurs went cold in the second half and the Milwaukee Bucks went on a 21-2 run to take over a 82-78 victory Wednesday in Milwaukee.
A Michael Finley 3-pointer cut the Bucks' lead to 79-78. Milwaukee's Ramon Sessions hit 1 of 2 free throws to stretch the Bucks' edge back to two points. The Spurs got the ball back with 10 seconds left and came up empty.
Milwaukee's Richard Jefferson hit two free throws with four seconds left to put it out of reach.
Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 24 points. He scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, but was the only Spur to score in the last 10 minutes of the game until Finley hit his 3-pointer with 12 seconds left. Finley finished with 19 points.
The Bucks' run started when they scored the last five points of the third quarter. They went from trailing by 13 points in the final minute of the first half to leading by eight early in the fourth quarter.
Jefferson scored to give the Bucks a 63-61 lead with 8:25 left in the game. The Bucks led the rest of the way.
The Spurs have only one basket in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. The Bucks have grabbed a 67-61 lead.
The Bucks outscored the Spurs 8-2 to start the fourth quarter and the game is tied 61-61 with less than nine minutes left.
THIRD QUARTER
The Spurs used an 8-2 run late in the third quarter to finish the period with a 59-53 lead. Michael Finley (14 points), Tim Duncan (10) and Anthony Tolliver (9) are sharing the scoring load.
The Spurs went scoreless the first five minutes of the second half. The Bucks went on an 8-0 run to cut the Spurs' lead to four points.
SECOND QUARTER
Michael Finley scored 10 points in the first nine minutes of the second quarter to help the Spurs take a 43-31 halftime lead. Finley, who didn't play in the first quarter, was 4 of 7 from the field including 2 of 4 on 3-pointers.
The Spurs had a solid defensive half, holding the Bucks to 34.1 shooting. The Spurs shot well from outside, hitting 6 of 13 from 3-point range.
The Spurs went on a 9-2 run that included a 3-pointer from Finley to take a 31-21 lead midway through the second quarter.
Anthony Tolliver hit a 3-pointer for the last score of the first quarter and made a tip-in for the first points of the second quarter.
FIRST QUARTER
George Hill and Tim Duncan had four points each and the Spurs hit three 3-pointers to finish the first quarter with an 18-15 lead.
Roger Mason Jr. and Ime Udoka each hit an early 3-pointer and the Spurs grabbed a 9-5 lead at the first timeout midway though the first quarter.
PREGAME
Spurs starters: George Hill, Roger Mason Jr., Ime Udoka, Tim Duncan and Fabricio Oberto. This is the same starting lineup the Spurs used Tuesday.
Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili remain out for the Spurs. Michael Redd is out for the Bucks.
The Spurs will try to earn back-to-back wins tonight in the second game of a dreaded back-to-back when they play the Bucks in Milwaukee.
The Spurs' hopes for success seem to hinge, as they have in the past, on getting started with solid defense. Their defense and rebounding helped them slow down and eventually put away the New York Knicks on Tuesday at the AT&T Center.

Nice effort. D was good for most of the game. The offense just went into the tank. Hill and Mason stopped being aggressive and Udoka is petrified as the starter. That left basically Finley and Duncan carrying the load offensively.
Love the passing by Tolliver and Bowen has adjusted well to his new role. Too bad the Spurs couldn't get the win but this was much more of a Spurs Basketball loss than those shootouts at the beginning of the year.
More rebounds and one other player stepping up offensively and the Spurs easily win that game.

I loved tolliver's energy but come one... he needs to come to realize what kind of player he is and stop chunking it like he is a 3 point specialist. 1 of 6 from 3 point land just wont cut it.

I was actually going to say that if we had TP with this defense we'd actually be looking pretty darn good at this point. So yeah the defense has been good the last couple of games.
I don't really like Hill's point guard play. Crawford was right last game. All Hill is doing is bring the ball up the court and getting it in to Duncan. How hard is that? Can he penetrate at all? Does he have the handles to do it?
If Marbury is bought out I would not be opposed anymore to bringing him in. We need another scorer and another rebounder.
