Duncan is the foundation of this team. All of them should give him 50 percent of their salaries.

It's my favorite shot in the game. No one uses the glass like he does anymore.

Yep

Can't believe it's not a signature move in 2k9

The last player who was good at banking shots was Pippen

When he faces up at that angle ... there is not a single basketball player in the world that can guard him effectively. He is just too good off that glass.

I don't think he has gone away from it so much as teams take it away. He has lost a bit of quickness, so when he catches it on the 45degree angle they usually play him a little bit tighter and force him to put the ball on the floor.

Watching Tim make shots off the glass is probably one of my favourite things.

Now if he can do it like he used to. Game in and game out. I dont know why he ever lost that shot. It used to be his bread and butter, and it doesnt require much as far as movement.

Yeah, King of the banker is Timmy. :toast

His shot from the top of the key looks pretty money this year too. He seems to be using that jumper more and more as teams give him space out there, and I don''t mind that because he hits it more often than not as long as he just shoots (as against pausing to think). If he nails that shot regularly it also pulls the other team's best big defender away from the rim and opens up space for the other guys to operate on the wings and baseline.

i am worry with Duncan defence, he is just not the same Duncan on that side of the floor, he dont take a lot of rebounds that he need to take, and he is not block and challenge shots like he use to, it's look like he try but he just not have it in him.

He might be trying to conserve energy for offense.

Tim makes 50 percent of the rest of the team's salary. Does it work for you ?

that shot is like wine for Tim, it will help keep him in the game as long as he'd like to stay along with his foot work.

I especially like when he does the turnaround, gets fouled, falls on his ass but still banks it off the board

The percentage is not as high as you might think. Although he is the best, he is one of the only players in the game that uses it, so you remember it. You can look at the spots on the floor using "hot spots" for where he usually takes that shot (either side of the block from anywhere from 10-15 ft) and see he does not shoot a great %. It is a serviceable %, but not automatic.

It's pretty clear Tim has put a lot of work into that shot this summer. It was actually becoming a pretty low percentage shot the last couple of years, but Tim has once again worked to make it an almost automatic shot when his guy backs off. It's great to see Tim facing up a lot more this season, as his face-up game has always been stronger than his back-to-the-basket game (which is pretty freaking devastating in itself).
