Mitch Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix's Drummer, Dies, KGW-TV Reports

Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Mitch Mitchell (http://search.bloomberg.com/search?q=Mitch+Mitchell&site=wnews&client=wnews&proxystylesheet=wnews&output=xml_no_dtd&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&filter=p&getfields=wnnis&sort=date:D:S:d1), the drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, was found dead in a Portland, Oregon, hotel today, KGW-TV reported (http://www.kgw.com/news-local/stories/kgw_111208_news_mitchell_drummer_hendrix_dies.1a6f 9664d.html?npc), citing a medical examiner. He was 61, according to Web sites including allmusic.com (http://www.allmusic.com/).
Mitchell's body was found just after 3 a.m. at the Benson Hotel, the station reported. He probably died of natural causes, KGW-TV said, citing the Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy was scheduled for today.
