The Spurs problem was defense and injury. Now their problem is just injury.

Way to go out on that limb after Parker went down. That's almost as impressive as the three points and two rebounds Greg Oden finished with tonight.

How do you figure? They scored 78 points and had a chance to win. :lol

What I don't understand is how they blew that 15-point lead they had.

Gee, could it be a problem with the defense, tlong?

I'm sure giving up 29 points in the fourth quarter after giving up 31 in the entire first half had nothing to do with it. :)

Tlong might be even dumber than sequ, but at least his is a true troll, sequ is more of a combo troll/fan.

Predicting that the Spurs would score less with Tony Parker hurt was a gutsy call, too. :lol

I think tlong likes the Spurs more than Sequ does.

I'm just stating this after being mercilessly attacked by timvp for denying his assetion that the Spurs' biggest problem was defense in a previous thread. It's obvious that their problem is offense if they don't have Parker and Ginobili. Ya'll better recognize!

I agree. The spurs without Manu and Parker are going to struggle mightily on offense.

Up until the last two games their problem was defense and offense. Their defense has improved. So you had a 50/50 chance. Big deal.

Yeah that took guts to say that. I mean they are only without two 20ppg scorers.

I've seen the game (no link avaible for the spurs game) Oden was pathetic but he is not in good shape, I think he will step up.

If anyone is seriously doubting Oden can play in the NBA, they don't know basketball.

Question is...

Will Charles Barkley make some stupid outrageous bet with Kenny Smith about Oden never surpassing the 20 pt mark. lol

Oden will be a dominant defensive force, no question about it. Once hes completely healthy and in shape (which still may be months away), I can't think of a young player like him since Tim Duncan, at least in terms of rebounding, man defense, and help side defense.

He is very raw on offense, but its too early to tell if hes just anxious, out of sync, or simply not that good. He has all the physical tools to be a great offensive player.
