9.5 is a really big margin. I wouldn't bet this game.

I say it will be close but Late Lakers will win that is usually the case when a team is coming off of a back 2 back ...i think the key will be how well the young bench guys on the Pistons like Maxiell, Bynum and Afflalo and Stuckey do if they outplay or hold their own vs Lakers bench ..then it will be close Pistons once they settle on a rotation i think will be great offensively less impressive on defense than year's past not just bcause of AI but if you think back to their title they lost Wallace, & Billups ...Kwame is playing Mdyeess's minutes though Brown is good defender ...and they have aged 4 years ...

Also curious to see if Kwame plays how the Laker fans treat him yes he sucks at catching the ball but I thought he was a good teammmate and played hard for the most part but late in his tenure the fans were vicous to him ...

I was real pissed when we booed Kwame. You never do that to you're own player. Maybe after a bad play, but every time he touches the ball? Serious lack of class by our fans that day.

The Pistons don't have the offense to keep up. Lakers should win easily.

I bet you hated that chorus of boos Kobe got on opening day last year.

I did. Don't boo your own players. I was actually with Kobe at the way our franchise was turning. Obviously no one knew Bynum would come out great last year, and we would steal Pau.

Pistons will win this game. They have found themselves finally. Now that Iverson has a great cast around him, Kobe will get to witness just what Iverson can do with a great team around him.

When they booed Kwame that one particular game, I think they were booing Phil Jackson and his teammates more so than just Kwame. After fucking up like 4 plays in a row, they kept giving Kwame the ball.

Pistons W tonight...the Lakers simply won't be getting the league handed to them anymore.

They can only play the teams that are on their schedule. Worry about your Spurs.

I expect a close game, like most of the Lakers/Pistons matchups. Hopefully with a Lakers victory. The Pistons are that one team that seems to take the Lakers out their game. No matter who is on the roster.

This should be a game where Bynum needs to find a way to dominate, whether it's Kwame Brown or Amir Johnson or Maxiell trying to defend him. If the Pistons are forced to put Rasheed on him in stretches, that should open it up for Gasol. The Pistons have bodies at the big positions but just not enough to handle both Gasol and Bynum if those two are aggressive.

I got a feeling that this will be rather painful.

I wouldn't bet the game for two reasons. The Laker point spreads will be inflated a bit as long as they keep winning. Theoretically they should be favored by about 6. The other reason is Detroit is such an erratic team. They could show up and dominate the whole game, or just fall apart.

Should be a good game!

some more interesting bets:

Kobe over/under - 27.5 pts
Bynum over/under - 10.5 rebounds
R. Wallace over/under - 21.5 pts+rebounds
Rip Ham over/under - 19.5

Bynum Over

And I'd guess Kobe Under
