Here is a blog that will keep track of voting Stephon Marbury into the All-Star game.

HOW TO DO IT

Go to:
http://www.nba.com/allstar2009/asb/eng/daily.html

Fill out the ballot however you like EXCEPT for the East Guards.
This part is IMPORTANT!

For East Guards (change the tab at the top) choose STEPHON MARBURY and choose from a list of

Luke Ridnour
Anthony Parker
Raymond Felton
As your other East Guard. I recommend you fill out the whole ballot in case NBA.com voids it.

A bit of background.

Last year the NBA All-Star ballot included Antoine Walker and some of the basketball fans on the Internet tried to vote him in. Turns out Walker didn’t even crack the top 10 in voting. This year we’re going to try again and try and vote New York point guard Stephon Marbury into the All-Star Game.

WHY STEPHON?
He was an awesome NBA player
New coach Mike D’Antoni hasn’t played him yet
Led the Phoenix Suns (host of this year’s game) to the NBA Playoffs in 2003
Makes affordable basketball shoes and clothes for people to wear
He’s funny
Just vote for him! This is just too funny. Like another big giant blackeye to the Knicks and D'Antoni if we were somehow able to vote Marbury in. LOL
Spread the word! This should be on the Suns, Lakers, Pistons, Kings..heck everyone's bbs. :toast

Now that I think about it, the Spurs would probably have more chance of getting players into the game if the coaches and players voted the teams in.

Gentlemen, Ladies, I am saying this for your behalf... This idea is FUCKING lame. It's not funny; it's stupid. I like a good joke but this is stupid. Absolutely nothing funny about this. This is yet another example why fans should not vote for the NBA all-star. Because stupid people vote. Stupid people think of stupid ideas like this. You need to know, if you think this is cute or funny you maybe a very stupid person.

Even if everyone on Spurstalk did this it would still be nearly impossible to vote him in. This scheme would need to be done by a lot more people.

Fans can only vote in the starters too. There are 4 guard spots (2 per conference). It would be too hard to vote him in, but it would be funny.:lol

I believe it could happen. There were record numbers at the polls just a few weeks ago. Americans are in a voting mood. In the mean time I'm going to vote early and often, and link this to everyone I know. I hate the entire NBA all star weekend and I will gladly do whatever it takes to see it die. This is a good first step.

I think Stern is less popular than Horry in Phoenix these days. I wonder if they're going to put him in one of those bullet proof glass bubbles like the pope?

Haha, I find this extremely hilarious, because I always have voted for the Suns for the Western Conference positions (of course), and I always have fun with the Eastern Conference. I've always sort of liked Marbury and for some reason I always vote for him every year! So this is nothing new for me. LOL.

It's not only Ridnour. The whole voting system is retarded. Yi is currently third amongst the Forwards of the Eastern Conference? Are you kiddin' me? Ahead of Bosh and Pierce?? Grandpa Shaq ist still 2nd in the West?? Dirk only barely ahead of Gasol at the 4th position (behind Duncan, Amare and Melo???) whilst he's having a monster season with 26,4 ppg and 9,3 rpg?? Okay, I agree with Duncan, but Amare? Melo is playing well recently, but in overall Dirk has had a better season so far.

I really wish Ridnour and Yi would be voted into the All-Star Game (Yi as a starter would be hilarious), just to prove the ridiculousness to let the fans vote the starters.

Ya, I do believe they rigged all the Marbury votes and switched them to Ridnour.
