Spurs sighting: my friend was having her hair cut this past Friday morning, and her stylist excitedly pointed out David Robinson, who was in a room downstairs having a pedicure. My friend is not a basketball fan, but she was all giddy nevertheless--and she said he sure had big feet. I guess he was getting all spruced up for his All-Star appearance.

My husband said he hopes to be able to forget I even mentioned that David Robinson was having a pedicure.

:lol @ Jim

Can you imagine what it must be like at 7'-1" trying to trim your own toenails with one of those trimmers? Purple toenails on the Great Toe are a sure sign of a basketball player. Even if your shoes fit well, those toes take a beating.

I have lost my big toenails a few times after some hard bball play. :lol

David's wife probably forced him to get a pedicure. At least that's what happened to me.

:oops

How did that go? My wife is constantly bugging me about getting a pedicure, after years of playing ball on hard courts my feet/toes are UGLY, should I give in to my wife's demands?

I think a lot of pro ball players get pedicures. It keeps your feet and nails healthy.

Damn, now I have to stop busting Corey Maggette's chops about his pedicure gone bad that caused him to miss games in Orlando. :lol

With all due respect Admiral.

You are a sissyˇˇˇ. :lol
(Just a Joke).

I had 2 surgeries in my toes due to infected nails. So better you care your nails and if necesary get a pedicure.

It was okay. My feet are pretty much destroyed from too many years of playing basketball for 5+ hours a day. I never taped my ankles and I thought I was cool by playing through a lot of injuries, but now I have discolored and arthritic feet and ankles so I don't feel too cool anymore.

The pedicures helped a little bit but getting all types of fruity substances put on my feet made me feel a little ... fruity I guess.

Most of the pain in my feet has been cured by the Princess who is kind enough to rub my feet 2/3 times a week with this magical stuff:

Thank God for the Princess and that gel.
