If you're going to be around for Thanksgiving and can make a couple of extra places, please consider opening your home to our guests in this city - basic trainees - many who have never been away from home.

My family has participated several times and I've always enjoyed it - just make sure you have enough food - these guys can EAT. :wow

I spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in basic. I got to spend Thanksgiving with a very nice couple and their dogs. To this day I'm still grateful to those lovely people. When our kids get a little older we plan on doing the same thing.

Thanksgiving '89, Hong Kong.
An American, working for a German owned co. located in Hong Kong hosted 3 of us.
Awesome times. One of the most hospitable people I've ever met.

I would definitely do this if I lived in San Antonio.
We did this several times when we lived in SA, and my brother was actually taken in when he lived in NC.
It's a nice deal!

Wow that's awesome...I didn't even know they had that program.

If I get back to SA I'll do it for sure.

Definately will try this out.

Nothing but the best should be done for these guys. They are true heros and deserve that treatment.

Always a great thing to do. My grandmother did that for years when I was growing up.
