I was reading the Feb 14 issue of SI, it had an article about how tough back to backs are in the NBA. They had a list of the players who have the greatest drop offs on the second game of back to backs since last season to now...
The guy who played the best...
Rashard Lewis in the first game..averages 17.7 PPG, in the second of the BTB..21.8 a plus of 4.1 points.
The worse...
Vince Carter in the first game...averages 23.0 PPG, in the second of the BTB...17.9 PPG...a drop off of 5.1 points.
Given his recent news that he gives up on games...it's not uncommon to think he doesn't try hard on the second games of BTBs.
