it is after the all stra break and the spurs will flip the switch :lol :lol :lol :lolThere is this guy in my office talking trash (Rockets Fan).
Just cause they are on a winning streak and they have beat us
twice. But Im not worried cause they aint goin anywhere in the
playoffs the West too strong I dont care who they play they will
be challenged. Besides Im anticipating Mcgrady having those back problems
he always has toward the end of the season.

Well, hopefully it does'nt come down to that, it would be a complete shame to see McGrady go down with anything.

he'll be ok, they still dont have the ability to stop parker though, esp. since he rediscovered his outside touch.

it would be a miracle for the Rockets to beat the Spurs again & here's why;
1.that TMac win vs. Spurs WAS A STEAL.
2.TD won't allow it.
2.Manu will be playing.
3.Devin won't be handling the ball in the last min of the 4th qtr.
4.they'd be exhausted after they play against the Sonics tonight.
5.they'd be playing in the House of Horror where only one team had successfully beaten the Spurs this season.
:rolleyes

1. You mean 13 points in 34 seconds left in the game?
2. Who's TD? He ain't Superman. :lol
3. Last time I checked he was injured in practice today
4. The only ones to get exhausted are the spursies after back-to-back games
5. Make that 2 teams, (Rockets being that team) :lol

it should be a good match up tommorow, this is the time we usually pick the pace up, plus houston will be tired from tonights game.

they weren't really good reasons.

1) The Spurs can stop Yao, he isn't going to be an offensive weapon.
2) Tony Parker is the quickest player on the floor, Bob Sura can not stay in front of him, but if the rockets take him off the court, they lose.
3)Tracy McGrady is not going to be able to carry the load again on the Spurs home court, he can be a bad shooter when he isn't in a groove.
4) Manu and Barry should be able to bother wesley all night and unless TMac has become a much better defender than I rememer he will have trouble with a very well rested Manu.
5) Tim should be feeling a little more healthy now and should be able to establish a good post presence, if he gets sent to the line a lot due to the great front court depth of the Rockets, we will still be able to dish the ball out to the perimeter
6) Spurs 23-1 at home.

LakerGod: TD should be able to beat Yao on a regular basis as he is more or less a defensive liability. JHoward really can not defend other than chop blocking.
also the rockets do not have the same outside shooting as the Sonics, making a performance like theirs unlikely here.

TMac will burn the Spurs once again to solidify his reputation as a Spurs Killer!

Remember when Kobe used to do the same to the spursies?

BTW I thought the reason Duncan didn't play the 4th quarter in the All_Star game is because he's still nursing his ankle and knee, plus I heard Ginobili hurt his groin in practice today.

How do you expect to beat the Rockets with those two not 100%

Seattle just beat the Rockets 87-85, coming back to take the lead with less than a minute left after Houston led most of the way.

Sonics still look tough. Houston had good games from Yao (30 pts, 9 board, but fouled out), David Wesley, and Jon Barry, who at times makes me thingk we got the wrong Barry, but Seattle hung tough and was able to play good D on T-Mac when he tried to get hot.

30/9 from Yao probably means he's due for another one of his 10/5 efforts. However, T-mac may be read to go for 40 tomorrow.

LakerGod NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY OR DO WOULD EVER CHANGE me to believe the Spurs is the best team in the NBA, not the Lakers.

And don't call Tim Duncan a Superman coz that word stinks since ShaQ uses it on cribs and on the Harley Davidson he refuses to pay.

BTW, how come you changed your "Kobe is my Saviour" to "Kneel at my Alter"? COZ YOU DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IN THE LAKERS, ANYMORE? because you think that the Lakers can no longer be saved? I think you shld have switched team from Lakers to Miami bec. YOU ARE MORE TRASH TALKER AS SHAQ than Kobe.

Rockets are 5-6 in back end of back to backs, so they are decent in those games, so I do not expect them to roll over.

Spurs need to hit outside shots to win, as TD will be bottled up inside like he has been in previous games and also because of the Rockets' ability to stop or limit lane penetration all year long. Spurs lost both games this year because they were HORRIBLE from outside, shooting in low 30% range from outside. That has to get better or it will be a toss up game in last minute again.

Playing the Rockets is a good test of Spurs offense, which I think struggles badly in the face of any nominal defense.

For offense-lovers, this could be ugly game, with both teams shooting under 40%. (NBA season worst is NO with 41%.)

The Spurs (defense) can (sometimes) dish it out, but can the Spurs (offense) take it?

Any scout knows the Spurs offense is stalled without paint points from Tim (force him to post high/out) and layups (stop them), but not many teams can execute that paint defense. Those that probably can:

Bulls W@CHI (lucky Spurs caught them before they gelled)
Rockets 2L@HOU
Grizz L@MEM
Heat L@MIA
Mavs W@DAL

Mavs @DAL 7 Apr
Pistons @DET 20 Mar
Grizz @MEM 18 Apr

but, WTF, the Spurs are 41 - 12, no worries. :)

Hard to believe, it what figures to be a defensive game that the Spurs are favored by 10.

1.SPURS WON.
2.TD not Superman, just the ONLY 2-time MVP in the WC, who swept opponents in the regular season incl. Houston/NJ last yr and what else? Ohh the LAKERS in the 2002-2003 season ,who can't allow any team to sweep his team in the regular season.
3.MANU PLAYED. :spin
4.YEAH, right, they're not exchausted, but they still lost
5.SBC-still THE HOUSE OF HORROR -24-1 :elephant :elephant
