News and Notes
Feb 22 Raptors general manager Rob Babcock may need to set up an answering service this week in order to field all the trade proposals he continues to receive. Many of them center around forward Donyell Marshall and the latest had the 76ers offering center Samuel Dalembert, reports the Toronto Sun.
Views: We'd have to believe that Marshall in Philadelphia would cut into Kyle Korver and Angre Igudala's minutes. Nevertheless, Marshall's numbers would likely stay solid with the potential for an increase in rebounds, while Dalembert would likely see improved numbers in Toronto. Stay tuned as it certainly won't be the last rumor to hit Toronto before Thursday's trading deadline.
Feb 22 The 76ers are said to be dangling Samuel Dalembert in exchange for Marshall, the Toronto Sun reports.
This scenario seems viable -- the Raptors would have to get a center back in any deal they make for Marshall, as Rafael Araujo clearly isn't ready for major minutes, and Dalembert has had his ups and downs in Philly this season. Marshall will probably be going somewhere before Thursday's trade deadline -- it just remains to be seen where.
