Hill has shown us all he's got game. I'm looking forward to watching him grow.

The article was posted, here's the conversation. It's nice that you're here, you've been a great resource for us and you seem like a great friend for Hill.

Hill is ranked #5 in Hollinger's efficiency ratings of rookies:

Big difference having to go up against Bowen all night long with pretty good defensive rotations versus the lineup that Hill was torching in the 4th. Rose is the real deal, it's just the Spurs' defense was much better than the Bulls.

It's almost too bad that Tony isn't part of that 30 plus crowd himself. It would have been fun to watch this kid grow up within this system and become the Spurs starting PG with time.

With Hill under contract for 4 years (and then restricted thereafter) it'll be interesting to see how his and Tony's minutes are managed as he matures.

Maybe you should just be glad that for the next few years, we have a bona-fide player in George Hill who is able to carry us to playoff contention... although I really hope that hill stays with the spurs throughout his career. Maybe when Ginobili retires we will be able to use George hill as our 6th man for some energy off the bench

Yea, thats exactly what I meant. [/sarcasm]

No, my point was simply that a young player as explosive as Hill is fun to watch grow. Especially when he comes from nowhere and turns heads. I'm not at all selling Tony short. He was in a position similar to Hill's not to long ago himself and he is one of the elite points in the game. But when you have a talent that looks as hopeful as Hill it just kills you to know that you'll never be able to make him a starter and maximize his minutes.

If only Hill were a SF...

I wonder what kinda player we can get by trading him, his stock is rising quite fast, but should get leveled or going down if he can't cope with limited minutes as TP's backup. If he has the stuffs to become a bonafide NBA starter, i don't think he has much of future here in SA.
