This is pathetic. No intensity on defense, and in typical Pop fashion are running our offense right into the teeth of the Htown D.

It looks like Pop isn't going to give Bones solid minutes. I think Ginobli's lost his damn mind. No itensity on either end. Sloppy passing and ball movement. Substandard D. Crappy player rotations...

At Least TMac hasn't started pouring in 15 points ever 30 seconds yet...

Rox beating Spurs with OFFENSE??

Rox sure beating Spurs on the boards, 10 - 5.

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-23-2005, 09:46 PM
Christ Champs, are you watching the damn game?

We are not playing defense, pansies like Rod Strickland and Juwan Howard are working us. We are nowhere to be found on the glass, and the only person who looks like they give a shit at this point is Manu.

Will everyone please calm down, games aren't won in the second quarter.

Gerryatrics
02-23-2005, 09:50 PM
Almost forgot about free throws, and rebounding. At least Timmy is hitting his bankers, there's still hope the Spurs will pick it up.

SuperManu!!!

GIve the ball to manu...he will know what to do

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-23-2005, 09:53 PM
I'm just pissed because given this series this year (Houston 2, SA 0) I figured we'd come out on a mission and destroy their asses. It ain't happening so far.

slayermin
02-23-2005, 09:58 PM
Houston is gonna get tired. Did you guys see all those veteran players on their roster?

boutons

As I have observed, Spurs offense has serious difficulty against teams that pretend to play defense, and Rockets do more than pretend.

Missed 5 FTs, down by 7.

Spurs may not get 10 ASTs by half, showing how bad Rockets are stopping our offense. Spurs avg 22 AST/Game.

boutons
02-23-2005, 10:04 PM
Deke, AGAIN, killing us on the boards, and he's got 4/4 FTs, vs Tony's 0/2.

Rockets are miles better than the Spurs down low.

Mutombo, Howard, Ming are allstars compared to Rasho.

Dre_7
02-23-2005, 10:18 PM
Yup, Spurs just suck, right Sequ?

SuperManu!!!
02-23-2005, 10:21 PM
If the Spurs win this year the championship, I would like to see if sequ apologize for all the shit he talks

Can the Spurs beat the Rockets for the first time this season?

Aggie Hoopsfan

Spurs may not get 10 ASTs by half, showing how bad Rockets are stopping our offense. Spurs avg 22 AST/Game.

Our assist numbers suck because of the sets we are running.

Gerryatrics
02-23-2005, 10:27 PM
Well, it looks like the Rockets got bored and starting breaking out their Harlem Globetrotter moves. You gotta love the behind the back passes out-of-bounds. 10 TO's are keeping the Spurs alive. Now if Manu and Tim will stop trying to get tossed out of the game, and the Spurs would actually look for an open shooter instead of dribbling into a quadruple team to see what develops, we'd be in business.

boutons
02-23-2005, 10:27 PM
"running"

BS. spurs have 6 FB points, Hou is getting back on defense, Spurs getting almost no transition points, and the half-court offense is really schlockly due to Hou defense.

picnroll
02-23-2005, 10:31 PM
Duncan is really PO'd at that one ref. TD walked off the court pointing his finger at the guy all the way off the court. That ref keeps f'ing up and TD may pick up a second T.

Dex
02-23-2005, 10:32 PM
As long as he doesn't bump into the guy. :oops

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-23-2005, 10:34 PM
Christ, someone explain to me why the f*ck we are rotating OFF of TMac on defense. If we're trying to lose let me know, I'll go do something else.

Dex
02-23-2005, 10:34 PM
P.S. Whatever the refs took before the game, I want some.

Dex
02-23-2005, 10:37 PM
Why can't we get any closer than three effing points?

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-23-2005, 10:37 PM
The refs don't have anything to do with this. We're playing like pussies on defense, and on offense Pop is in his ball control offense + defense = wins shit that gets us beat by Houston every time.

Dex
02-23-2005, 10:37 PM
Are there any horse socks?

Is anybody listening to me?

Aggie Hoopsfan

But I will say it'd be nice if the damn refs would call the over the back on Yao.

Damn...

Guess you gotta be wearing red to get a whistle.

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-23-2005, 10:43 PM
Houston has a 40 year old Rod Strickland out there but we can't run a play for Tony? WTF?

Dre_7
02-23-2005, 10:43 PM
FINALLY called a foul on Yao!!

Dex
02-23-2005, 10:44 PM
Duncan needs to take it at Yao. He's had his way inside tonight, he's really starting to light it up, and the least he is gonna do is draw that fourth foul or wear Yao down on defense.

Nevermind. He just did it. :smokin

7 straight points by Duncan, Yao stuck to the bench now.

Dre_7
02-23-2005, 10:45 PM
Another on Yao?!?!
Alright!!!

Tony with the crossover and layup on the break. :blah

boutons
02-23-2005, 10:47 PM
Tony pulled a nice Nash there, pushed the ball and snuck by hou in transition for easy bucket and the lead. I'd like to see more that.

Dre_7
02-23-2005, 10:48 PM
Now hopefully we can keep this lead!

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-23-2005, 10:53 PM
Our offense should be run through Parker. Houston doens't have anyone quick enough to stay in front of him, especially with rickety old Rod Strickland out there.

Dex
02-23-2005, 10:56 PM
I think Aggie may be on to something.

Also, they need to stick with the kickout after double penetration. The Rockets are rotating well when the first guy pulls the drive and dish, but the second is leaving open shooters nearly every time.

02-23-2005, 11:04 PM
What toughly played qtr, and the Spurs won it big. Now the test is to protect te lead in the 4th

Biggest lead of game at 7. Just like that.

In a game like this, though, that can change in a heartbeat.

TD with 25, TP with 20, and Manu still chasing his twenny with 14.

48 minutes tough-it-out, never-quit basketball.

And HOU never quit, either.

Tony had his game face on, an absolute rulthless killer tonight.

Aggie Hoopsfan
02-24-2005, 12:01 AM

I told ya so.

Very aggressive play by the Spurs late in the 3rd and all throughout the 4th. The Rockets ran out of gas and made mistakes. Parker was awesome with his on-ball pressure and was the man in breaking the Rockets down.

Pop kept his key contributors fresh for the 4th. That's the way it should have been managed against a team on a B-2-B.

02-24-2005, 12:25 AM
70 points by the Big Three (Tim, Tony and Manu) 29 points by the rest. :wow

wildbill2u
02-24-2005, 12:47 AM
Team had a 15-3 run in 4th. That's what I like to see--a killer instinct coming out.

Big three played well--and Rasho had a nice 4th quarter on defense with a little offense as well.

:king :king :king

He was really aggressive and balanced his bankers with low post moves.

Plus perfect free throw shooting and a 3!!!! :elephant :elephant :elephant

btw Tony's dunk was just plain sick.
