So does SA have enough capspace to offer Chris Bosh max contract in 2010?
(Assume Manu isn't resigned).

I'll miss Manu, but this would be dynastic.

manu will be resigned only if he will take a drastic paycut with the spurs
he will have to take like brent barry type offer

but lets focus on this season and not pull a james

Besides that, why pay that much money for a player that will choke when it counts?

We will have enough to offer him the max, but Im not sure he is the one we go after. If Ian pans out, I cant see having Bosh Ian and Duncan. I think we will likely go after Dirk, Joe Johnson, resign Manu, and Wade will likely be in the mix as well.

No marquee free agent player will ever come to the Spurs, i think that's given.

The Knicks are supposedly going after both Bosh and LeBron in '10.

No, I'm saying two years from now Barkley will be stupid because Bosh's IQ will be James even though Windows XP the Knicks.

TD could play center and Bosh PF.... would be beyond great. But I wouldnt give him the max. If he is serious about winning he should take 20% less so Spurs have enough cap to soround him with good players.

Bosh isn't coming..no chance..

he's either staying in Toronto, or going where James is going..

Pistons will also toss max cash his way he also has lots of ties to Detroit.

Like his share of the bailout money?

No, seriously, what ties?

This kind-of reminds me of the Jermaine O'Neal situation, when he was a FA. I don't see us attracting someone playing so well, when he will have options like NY. Who wouldn't want to play in NY?

isnt Bosh from Texas?

If the team would have TP, Manu, TD, Hill, Mason... +Bosh they would be damn good and Bosh could be THE MAN on offense.

Bosh is having a great season so far

Plus, being from Texas, he might be interested

He does a lot of things in Detroit. Not saying he is a lock to go anywhere but he would at least consider Detroit.

If David Robinson comes and personally talks to Bosh, that might do it.

i honestly wonder what manu will sign for; if he is willing to pull a duncan and sign for a lot less, just to end his career here in san antonio, and to have a serious chance at a few more rings..

He already signed for a lot less. A second paycut?

"SO" Why do people needlessly put "SO" in front of their sentences ? "SO" it gets annoying. Try leaving it off the beginning of the sentence. You'll be surprised at how those sentences will make sense and work.

"SO" its become a pet peeve of mine. "SO", That is all. I have vented.

I humbly request a mod create an "official" 2010 thread and sticky it to the top of the board. It's clear at this point that the threads relating to the off-season nearly two years away aren't going anywhere....so we might as well just combine all of them into one big thread.
