I'm trying to make it. I haven't been able to do anything else tonight. When I got word that they were disbanding the Comets I just stopped. How are we going to live without women's basketball in Houston?

Why, just thinking about the Comets...:sleep :sleep

:wakeup

Sorry, what was I doing?

Nobody cares about girls basketball. The only person alive that it might effect is Fab. He's the only man who plays like a girl in the NBA. But he still has the silver stars once the Spurs FO decide to make their team a real team and get rid of that girlyman style basketball player. Rebounding does not involve Tipping the ball out anywhere but in the WNBA. Maybe even in Europlay as well. But not in Mens basketball.

I don't care. A good HS game is more exciting than a WNBA game. This was probably just a plan by stern to try to pull in more female ticket sales. If a girl has game, let her try out for an NBA squad or the D league.

if the most storied franchise in WNBA history cant make it, what does it say about the league itself

Not trying to undermine women's basketball, but my cousin that plays for her highschool still hasn't gone to see a single WNBA game, its all NBA for her too.

I'm of the opinion that the WNBA was dreamt up for the sole purpose of allowing Cheryl Swoopes a couple of chances to win championship rings. It's done that, and now it can go away.

This won't be the last WNBA franchise to fold, and in fact I expect some contraction in the four major men's professional sports leagues. MLB is probably in the worst shape, with it's money-caste system where there are like 4-6 haves, perhaps 8 maybes, and the rest don't have a chance in hell.

Quick; give 'em the Silver Stars so Houston can have one team with a shot at winning a round in the playoffs.

The Spurs must be in the WNBA too b/c that "one women's pro b-ball team in Houston" blew out the spurs by 19 on their last meeting. Dumb ass.

Yes sir, it's a great idea to combine NBA and WNBA into a same league. Then the franchies player of Rockets will not be forced to man himself up. It's an unfinishable mission for tmac to man up himself, and no one else can man him up. If he plays in WNBA then no one will ridicule him of his female playing style and female emotion.

Can you provide more information on your assertion regarding MLB? I am not sure what you mean there. Is that in terms of team value, competitiveness, revenue, operating income, debt, or something else?

The Houston Comets dynasty at the beginning of the WNBA was awesome. Anyone who wants to criticize the play and style of those teams didn't watch them, period. By the way, I hate women's basketball. Those teams were just that damn good.

I was surprised to find out that now seven WNBA teams are not owned and operated by NBA teams.
