4 to 5 games is what Pop said when asked how long he thought it'd take him to (more or less) nail down the rotation. I believe tonight was Game 2 since he made that comment.
Most likely Pop will continue to experiment for the next few games. I think his priority is finding the right rotation first, and actually winning the next few games second; I think he's taking the long view given that just about everyone in the West is tightly packed together in the losses column.
It seems like a lot of what's been happening with the Spurs over the last 2 games are due to overthinking (which looks a lot like no-effort given that there's a lot of indecision and paralysis accompanying it) and unfamiliarity (which results in the ball not moving, turnover, poor shot distribution, etc.).
It sucks for us fans to watch this as we want to win every one of these games, but hopefully Pop will figure this out in a few games. Hopefully.
