Forbes magazine said on Wednesday that the Bulls enjoyed the biggest operating profit in the past year ($55.4 million).

Forbes claimed that all top 10 NBA teams were profitable, with one exception, Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks posted an operating loss of $13.6 million.

Is there some reason for us NOT to ridicule Cuban's business acumen? I just want to make sure there aren't a bunch of Cubansuckers lying in wait for me to say something.

While I don't care for alot of his antics you got to admit that Cuban has been good for the league. He is the more fan friendly of all the owners and considering how it use to be like playing in Dallas he has done great. He made the Mavs relevant again.

more like lol, forbes.

Is there a definition of 'top-10' that doesn't include Portland and Denver, which according to their very own chart are in the red?

I don't exactly know what Mark Cuban did to be good for the league. Considering how it used to be in Dallas it's nearly impossible to be worse. Otherwise he arrived in town once all the talent was there and jumped on for the ride, taking credit all the way.

Cuban actually cares about the team and not just the profit

I think that they meant that out of the 'Top 10 Ranked' Teams, only 1 lost money - the Mavs.

You can say that it shows Cuban is not a good businessman.

On the other hand you can say that for a billionaire, losing 13.6 million a year is nothing and that he actually puts the money in the team in order to win.

I don't think Cuban has ever made money on the Mavericks and he'll be the first to tell you such. 13.6 may actually be an improvement. I think I recall Cuban talking about being 30 in the hole just a few years back.

The top 10 is the top 10 team values.

I don't think people are interpreting that chart correctly.

I'm surprised Milwaukee made it back in black least year.

Looking at Memphis, you can tell why they had their fire sale of Gasol.
