View Full Version : How the heck are the Spurs rebounding so well?

Considering how shallow the front court is, I'm impressed with how strongly the Spurs are rebounding.

Are the guys simply putting in more effort or are they tapping the ball out a lot more?

there has DEFINITELY been more effort..

everybody on our team just looks a lot more aggressive on the boards, especially Oberto and Bonner tonight..

Fab only had 3 boards, but he had at least 5 tap-outs to keep the possession for us..

Its all effort...now we just have to figure out how to get that out of 'em night in and night out. :tu

And Bowen had 7 boards, and he usually has 2.

George Hill is one of the best rebounding PG's I've seen in a while as well..helps to have those long arms and some nice hops..

Gang rebounding + Duncan boxing out the entire Nuggets team = Good rebounding night

seriously, Tim does so much of the work that Bonner/Oberto just have to go for it and grab the ball. Great rebounding job tonight.

poor rebounding from Denver and by the way, J R Smith had 10 boards

BTW, who got that?

I don't know for sure but it looks to me like only one of them has 2 hands on the ball. :)

My man Manu looks like he's about to rip it down. Reminds me of the Hill board that he went against Timmy to get, and suprised me when he actually came down with it. Dude can sky when he wants to.

But you're right, Timmy probably did get that.:worthy:

That's embarassing for Timmy and Manu, they both had at least one hand on the ball, and the rook comes out with it. Condor FTW!:king

EDIT: Can't wait for your game thoughts, timvp!!!

All the big sites have game shots, NBA.com, ESPN, etc.

This is a good pic. You can't see Tim's face ("expressionless"), Manu's making a crazy face (that maniac fire), and Hill's face...makes more sense when you see Kleiza's face. :lol

Dude, look at Bowen's face, I think B-b-b-b-billups took the chance to let one go right there.

228 could find a needle in a haystack. But onto the Spurs. I like the win. The way we played. But we didnt have Manu or TP the last time we played. And Denver has never ever come back from more then 20 points in their history. Denver also played a poor game. They were due a poor game and we were due a great game. With Billups they may be a better team. But they're still no Lakers or Celtices. When we beat them teams then Ill be happy. We've watched our spurs beat up on so many teams we get used to games like these. Only some people think we won the championship. We got a good win. No more, No less. And I wasnt making fun of your finding a needle in haystack girly.....so you can keep your cuss words all to yourself. Or make a fool out of yourself. The choice is yours.
